Ajegunle area in turkey 👎
Many people back home believe that once you travel abroad, every street is shining, every house looks perfect, and life becomes soft immediately. But the truth is different. Every country has its own “Ajegunle” — areas where low-income people struggle and survive together.
Yesterday, we went to visit one of our legion of Mary member who just put to bed here in Turkey. As we entered the area she lives in, I told myself, “If somebody sees this without traveling experience, they may not believe this is abroad.”
This particular area is one of the cheaper places to live in Turkey. The houses are old, the environment is crowded, and life here is very tough for many families. Most of the people living here are Syrians who ran from war, a few Africans and blacks, and some local Turkish Kurdish families trying to survive daily life.
Abroad is not always luxury as many people imagine on social media. There are places filled with hardship, hustle, overcrowded apartments, and people fighting every day just to pay rent and feed their children. The only difference is that everybody is trying to keep moving forward quietly.
Traveling opens your eyes. It teaches you that suffering has no nationality. Poverty exists everywhere. Hustle exists everywhere. Survival exists everywhere.
So before you envy someone abroad, remember that not every abroad story is enjoyment. Some people are fighting silent battles just to stay alive.
Respect every hustler, no matter where they are in the world. ❤️
