Wednesday will be the official opening day although unofficially we had our first customers while setting up this afternoon…a nice surprise…Thank You!

We are about 90% ready and had a great day filling the displays and picking pumpkins.

Normal hours a 9-7 every day.

Parking is anywhere on the grass either on the east or west side of the building. Use either the driveway off 740th Ave or gravel frontage road…both are ok.

Taylor Kids Pumpkin Patch Opening Day Wednesday September 9th! 23372 740th Ave, Albert Lea, MN 56007.

We will have Farm Fresh Mums on Wednesday. Pumpkin Harvest is just beginning with a huge supply of Stacking pumpkins coming in as quickly as we can pick. Plan is to stock the pumpkin displays beginning Wednesday late if temperatures cool down and be fully stocked by Friday.

Opportunities for others: We have Ruthie’s Ice Cream here Oct 10th. If others would like to set up at our place Saturday or Sunday’s please reach out to me. We will only have one vendor per day.

Tower Honey will be back by popular demand. The Bees are still here loving the late Blooms.

New this year will be Farmers Coffee. We look forward to having them here and goes well with the Honey.

Lastly…we enjoy having great photo displays with old tractors or cars/trucks. Our family’s Oliver 550 will be here again but welcome others even if for a weekend.

It’s time! We need to switch gears from Sweet Corn to Pumpkins!

We had a tremendous 2nd season selling sweet corn and want to thank those who bought. We’ll change up the varieties again next year to bring you the latest, greatest critter free guaranteed corn again.

Now….the best Eight weeks of the year begins! Opening day will be September 9th.

We will start the year with our best selection of mums, stacking and specialty pumpkins ever along with traditional favorites you expect before Orange October starts and more Jack O’Lanterns take over.

$5 Sweet corn 🌽is ready…again! This is our second and much larger patch of sweet corn. 23372 740th Ave, Albert Lea MN 56007.

Here’s our deal…we try to keep this simple. We plant the latest greatest variety that is easy to grow and resists critters like ear worms which are just gross. This variety has a number and isn’t named after a 💃😂.

All money raised is going towards the youngest Taylor kid in the picture as he gets ready to return to Duluth for his last two years of college….conveniently about one week before Pumpkin 🎃 Picking.

We sell from a covered self serve trailer at the home of Taylor Kids Pumpkin Patch. We will pick daily and toss anything more than a couple days old so you are assured it’s fresh.

$5 per dozen is bargain price for Albert Lea’s Best Sweet 🌽.

PS. Who’s ready for fall! The Pumpkins 🎃 maturing ahead of schedule. The plan is to be fully stocked and ready after Labor Day. First Mums ready on September 9th. The stacking and specialty pumpkins lead the way and we turn the patch Orange by MEA weekend.

PSS. We could use Saturday food 🛻 only one per Saturday. In addition a couple old tractors to join Ollie the Oliver for photo’s…nothing too fancy as they get sat on.

Thank you for your tremendous support and coming to the home of Taylor Kids Pumpkin Patch to buy your sweet corn.

Our first planting of sweet corn in getting just past its prime so we will pause for a couple weeks and start back up as soon as the second planting is ready.

We had a few questions on our sweet corn variety this year. This one doesn’t have a catchy name…it’s SV9012SD. This was recommended as being excellent flavor and easy to grow and a big improvement over old varieties like Ambrosia where you battle ear worms which are just disgusting and gross. The corn plants are extremely short which helps handle the strong winds we get at the farm.

We are going to price the dozen ear bags the same as the half dozen through the remainder of the season. Most all of our Sweet Corn customers also buy Pumpkins so this is like a customer appreciation sale!
