This weekend we brought home pullets and officially finished the coop setup. Now we wait for those first fresh eggs 🤞🥚

One thing that made this project fun was seeing how much we could piece together from things we already had around the house instead of buying everything brand new. The coop itself started from an old dog box and leftover fencing.

Still very much in the learning and growing stage over here, but excited to add chickens into the mix at Eller’s Farmhouse Pantry 🌿

Potatoes are in 🥔

We laid them out and covered them with leaves + mulch. Nothing fancy, just using what we’ve got and keeping the labor simple!

Shoutout to my brother for raking and bagging all these leaves so we could just dump and go....Bonus: found 3 wiffle balls in the pile… thanks to whoever donated those too 😂

Farmhouse Root Coffee ☕🌿

My sister and I have been enjoying this caffeine-free coffee alternative for the past year and we decided to share it with our pantry friends. The base? Roasted dandelion roots!

The best flavor comes from roots harvested in early spring, so I’ve started digging them from our garden, roasting them, and blending them.

Flavor: rich, roasted, earthy, coffee-like with a little warmth.

Available now for porch pickup in Alhambra, IL:
• Sampler – $5 ~6 cups
• 4 oz jar – $18 ~24 cups

Simmer 1 tbsp in water for 10–15 minutes, strain, and enjoy like coffee.
