Gypsy House Garden Love!

Gypsy House Provisions is doing some expanding this year, offering services to YOU! As most of you already know, vegetable gardening is one of my passions, in addition to farming and preserving food. All of these things (but not limited to) go hand in hand with what I do at home and strive for with Gypsy House. We will be enlarging our own garden, adding a strawberry patch (among other delights), hopefully constructing a little greenhouse, and offering new selections of provisions. In addition to what I have going on at home, I would like to extend my services to those of you who are thinking that you would like to do some gardening this year, but just might not know where the heck to start.

I am offering six spots in early spring for six people who could use an expert opinion and help with planning. I should add that I will also be a Certified Master Gardener within the year.
The fee for “Gypsy House Garden Love” services is $75.00 and includes:

-A visit to your home (you choose the best time for you) to assess the “what”, “where”, “when”, and “why's” of your future garden. You do not have to have a huge space to make a garden. It's all about efficiency and good planning!
-I will help you plot your garden. Knowledge of “companion planting” is essential for organic gardening, and increases the overall output and efficiency of your garden.
-I will help you select your seeds (I even have seeds that I saved from my own garden last year that I could offer you)!
-I will do a follow up visit upon request.
-And I will eat your vegetables for you if need be.

In the meantime, I will answer any questions you have pertaining to your personal garden. Getting started on a home garden from just a patch of grass may seem intimidating for some people. I am here to tell you that no matter what your environment or space limitations, a garden is possible (even if it's all in pots), it just takes a little sweat and elbow grease! Please secure your spot if you are interested. It may only be January, but March will be here very soon and you will want to have a fairly solid plan by then.

For real this time! Hey, folks! This chutney has been selling like crazy and I want to get some to you Pittsburgh kids before it's all gone. I will be in this weekend at Danielle Crumrine's house in Regent Square on Braddock Ave. on Sunday from 2-4pm.

I am offering three chutneys @ $5 each:
1. Balsamic
2. Red Wine
3. Balsamic w/out Raisins

I am also running an Apple Butter special for the holidays @ $5 each.
The 5 apple butters are:
1. Spiced!
2. Rum Raisin
3. Simple Honey
4. No Sugar Added
5. Vanilla Raisin

I also have a few Strawberry Lavender and Strawberry Vanilla w/Amaretto still available @ $10 each. These are all made with local organic strawberries that I've picked myself.

And, local PA honey in Raw or Filtered form @ $6 each

If you can not make it to Crumrine's house at this time, I will leave your order there and you may pick up at a later date. If this is the case, you may mail me a check or we can make other arrangements. No biggie.
If you are not familiar with the whereabouts of this location, private message me and I will give you the address.
Also, it would be great if you could have your orders in before Saturday morning so that I have a better idea of which products I need to bring and what goes to who. Thank You, Gypsy House Provisions!

Gypsy House had a successful weekend at Pike Days. Thanks to all of you who came out to show your support and it really was great to see every one. This has been my biggest single-sells thus far! And especially thank you to my husband, Justin Carroll, who spent his weekend helping me. Love you all!

Gypsy House Provisions offers 5 varieties of Apple Butter. I know, you're thinking, "How is that possible? It's APPLE BUTTER!" Well, it's true. I have 5. Original recipes. They are as follows: Spiced!, Rum Raisin, Simple Honey, Vanilla Raisin, and No Sugar Added. Photos may be found in the "Apple Butter Delights" album. All jars are 9oz and $7 each. These are artisan, gourmet apple butters, my friends. All are made with local Pennsylvania apples, local honey, and made by me in a certified commercial kitchen. No catches. No small print. Just real, good food.
