Cultural Programming

repost from From Sabar to Congo Square to Baton Rouge Jiggin, our people have always used rhythm to mark victory, survival, joy, and arrival.

So when our young people jigg across that graduation stage, it ain’t just dancing.

The diploma says, “I passed.”
The dance says, “We made it.”

Now I need one of these young people to teach me how to jigg before the next graduation. Don’t let me embarrass the ancestors. 😂✊🏿
