JagFresh Farmers Market @ Southern University

Southern University is hosting the JagFresh Farmers Market this spring, offering fresh, local and homemade products to students and the Baton Rouge community.

The market will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 135 Jesse N. Stone Avenue on the Southern University campus.

Organized through Southern University Agricultural Research and Extension Center, JagFresh is designed to promote campus-grown produce, support local vendors and improve access to healthy food options.

The event is open to the public and encourages community members to shop local while connecting with area farmers and small businesses.

Those interested in becoming a vendor can use the QR code on the official flyer to apply.

The JagFresh Farmers Market is BACK! We’re beyond excited to kick off the Spring 2026 season and bring fresh vibes, fresh food, and fresh energy back to campus. Mark your calendars, we’ll be reopening February 19th, from 10am to 1pm in front of the Smith Brown Memorial Union and trust us… this season is about to be one for the books 💚

We can’t wait to see all our familiar faces and welcome some new ones as we show up and show out all spring long. Thank you for the constant love and support, it truly means everything to us!

✨ That’s a wrap on our 2025 JagFresh Farmers Market season! ✨
What an incredible year it’s been—full of growth, community, smiles, and plenty of fresh goodness. Hosting and providing these markets has truly been a joy.

A huge thank you to our hardworking and dedicated team who help to orchestrate these markets as well as the amazing vendors—you are the heartbeat of this market and the reason it flourishes every single time. To our amazing community, thank you for showing up, shopping local, and supporting us with so much love throughout the season.

This is only the beginning of a market legacy we’ll always remember. 🌱💛
We’ll be back in the spring, refreshed and ready—can’t wait to see you all again!

🌟 JagFresh Farmers Market Kickoff Recap! 🌟

Our very first JagFresh Farmers Market of the season was a success! The sun was blazing, but that didn’t stop us from having an incredible day filled with community, fresh finds, and great energy.

A huge thank you to our amazing vendors as well as our very own Nutrition Educator Ms.Evan Egana who cooked a healthy pastalaya meal right on our new JagFresh Mobile Nutrition Kitchen!
Their hard work and dedication brings the market to life each and every time and we are forever thankful. And of course, we’re grateful for our students, faculty, and community members who came out to show their support. Truly, there is no market without you!❤️

We’re already excited for the next market on September 18th, 10 AM – 1 PM (location to be announced soon). Mark your calendars—you won’t want to miss it‼️
