Happy Wellness Wednesday

Over the last few months we have been working on getting a few healthy options to the community. It does take extra effort because if we put items in a busy blessing box we check to make sure they are claimed the same day. We feel offering some produce helps in a small way.

We also take some to our homebound too. Shopping before our visits and finding the best prices or finding local gardeners and bakers takes a bit of extra time. It is worth it.

When we bring bananas to the homebound they light up, bread is a huge request it all makes a difference. One resident made zucchini bread with the zucchini’s from a community members garden. They also tell us we bring the best oranges. With those kind of reviews we will go the little extra. It is worth it.

We are all just neighbors helping our neighbors. Thank you for being here.

We work with groups and organizations already established in Hellertown and Lower Saucon to bring neighbor kindness for those who have need during a difficult time but may not get assistance for various reasons.

Help us to keep food items available to bridge the gap to those in emergency need both through neighbor kindness and needed items.

This weekend we served about 16 homebound community members through our general store on Saturday and Sunday.

We had laughs and good fun while helping in a small way.

Special thank you to all that donated items especially at Boro hall donation bin , the special wishlist for paper hygiene items Amber Marshall-Brennan homemade bread , Debbie Rosenberger soft pretzels for the special goodies and Evelyn Hooper Garofalo tomatoes, oranges and for helping.

We make it work because God provides and appears to multiply the blessings every time this is the truth.
