So much has happened between our last post here and this post.

Immediately following the last post, we found out that Coop had wet FIP, a free floating tumor, and was given a prognosis of roughly 4-12 months. That was in May, and our guy is holding on strong!

2 weeks later, CJ went downhill quickly. He was diagnosed with wet FIP and Auto-Immune Hemolytic Anemia. In short, his immune system was destroying his own red blood cells. He stopped eating and drinking and went into liver failure. It was very touch and go for about a week. Like his dad, he responded exceptionally well to medication and is recovering like a champ!

More on the boy’s FIP journey later but in the midst of this incredibly rare event of having TWO cats with FIP in the same household at the same time, we welcomed 2 more foster babies. Orphans Sheila and Sam joined Shedrick and they have all enjoyed having each other to grow up with. Although none of them are biologically related, they have helped each other socialize and grow. Having kittens to grow alongside is so good for their development and preparing them for their forever families!

Catching up slowly but surely. It’s been a heck of a Summer here at Coop Kitty Central but we’re making it! We’re making it with the help of our amazing community who came together to rally behind Coop and CJ. I couldn’t be more thankful for the love and support these cats have from our amazing coop kitty community 💛

The villainization of perceived “others” turns difference into threat and neighbors into enemies.

It took me 2 days to edit this but everything was delivered on the 23rd! 💛 from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who helped make this happen! This means more to these families than we will ever know!

Wishing everyone a very happy holiday season!🤍

This year I wanted to do something special for this community. Y’all show us so much love and support all year long…so for this year’s holiday merch, I’m hand making satin bandanas for your fur babies!🤍

Each bandana is handmade by yours truly right here at coop kitty central with a lot of love, a little chaos, and of course, a lot of “help” from the kitties (Finn and Willow are particularly helpful) each one is truly a labor of love!

Starting TONIGHT, December 3rd at 5pm PST/7pm CST, you can custom order satin bandanas for your fur baby on coopkitty.com 🥰

You can choose from 5 sizes, 3 satin colors, 5 thread colors, and 6 fonts!

Because I’m hand making these, I’ve limited orders to 3 of each color of each size so act quick!

Each order will include a custom satin bandana for $35 and inevitably, a little pet hair😅

Catching up on some posts! (Life be lifin’😅)

The F.R.I.E.N.D.S. foster kittens graduated from coop kitty central on September 18th after a 3 month stay with us!

Chandler (ADOPTED)
Chandler is big ole’ love bug! Emphasis on big!! He is a biggest of the group but also the biggest teddy bear! His desire to explore the house far outweighs hir desire to eat, hence his frequent and famous door dashes at meal time. “Where is Chandler Bing???” became the battle cry of this foster group but can’t blame a fellow for following his heart, even if that heart led him right out the door hahahaha

Ross (ADOPTED)
Ross is an orange cat in a white coat! Unbothered by everything and scared of nothing, Ross is the embodiment of “go with the flow.” He may have the survival skills of a hamster but that doesn’t stop him from being the happiest guy around!

Phoebe (ADOPTION PENDING)
Tiny but mighty!!! Who knew someone so small could be SO passionate?! If food is involved, Phoebe is there. Actually she’s not just there, she’s climbing the back of your shirt! When she’s not screaming for a snack, she’s curled up in the crook of my elbow having a snooze :)

Rachel (ADOPTION PENDING)
Social and sweet! Miss Rachel Karen Green knows how to win the hearts of everyone she meets. She’s so sweet that it always surprised me when she would make a run for the door🤣 she and Chandler could compete for #1 door-dasher. She wants to explore but also wants to snuggle up after a long day of exploring coop kitty central!

Monica (ADOPTED)
Gorgeous and she knows it! She is a queen and loves some one-on-one attention. When she’s not looking down upon her kingdom from the top of the cat tree, she’s “hunting” a wild and elusive spring. And while her spirit is that of a hunter, unfortunately her coordination skills are not. Good thing she’s won over someone who will spoil her rotten!

Joey (forever in our hearts)
Joey was the runt of this litter but he had the biggest heart (and voice). Joey would regularly take us to yap city and tell us alllll about whatever was on his mind. And after all that yapping, he would curl up in my lap and drift off to sleep. His life was cut short but it was full of love💛
