The farms you buy from should have clean nests and eggs that plop out in them clean enough to not require much if any cleaning. It keeps the bloom on the egg and clean nests and areas keep diseases at bay. Clean nests = clean healthy eggs.

I was wondering if internet detectives could help me.
In the 80s my dad had a small sawmill in Braxton. Us kids mostly worked it. Occasionally he hired help when he could. One day a photographer from a magazine stopped by while we were milling and asked if he could take pictures. My dad said yes but didn’t talk too long to the gentleman. I had often wondered about the article and the pictures if they ever even were published or anything. He was a middle aged black gentleman who I remembered being taller and slender. I felt like he would have been with an agricultural magazine. Maybe even with MSU but don’t know many details for sure. I do remember hearing him tell my dad he was traveling the rural areas looking for interesting places.
I’d appreciate anyone who knows how to dig with such little information to go on. Thanks
