Now that we’ve been blessed with everything we’ve ever wanted, I can’t help but think... the next chapter is painting our new roosters! 🐓✨ It’s funny how dreams evolve, but it feels even more special to bring them to life on the farm that’s truly ours. No cramped cages, no artificial conditions—just plenty of space, sunshine, and freedom to scratch, peck, and explore.

🐔🐣 Exciting Update from the Coop! 🐣🐔

We've just added a few new teenage members to our flock — meet our frosted Cream Legbar and Easter Egger girls! These beauties are still growing, but soon enough, they'll be laying some colorful eggs. 🥚✨ We're expecting lovely blue eggs from the Cream Legbars and maybe even some green eggs from the Easter Eggers! Can't wait to see these colorful eggs filling the basket. Stay tuned for more updates as they grow and start laying! 🌈🐓

What is a broody hen?
A broody hen is when a female chicken gets a strong maternal instinct to hatch eggs and be a mom. They will sit on eggs for long periods of time and neglect eating and drinking themselves. Broody hens do not lay eggs and unless you want them to hatch chickens, it’s essential to stop broodiness to prevent health risks.
For our girl Gretchen, we decided to try breaking her broodiness by basically tricking her into thinking she hatched eggs herself. We picked up 5 baby chicks and placed them under her late in the evening and by morning she believed she hatched the eggs on her own and now had 5 babies.
This is not always successful and unfortunately, not all broody hens make good moms. But Gretchen has taken to motherhood beautifully. She protects her babies from the rest of the flock (even though none of the flock want to hurt them) and has been showing her new babies how to scratch, look for bugs, and essentially how to chicken lol.

We have had Gretchen since she was just a baby chick and It has been so fun to watch her grow and now have these motherly instincts as she takes care of new baby chicks of her own.

Hey everyone, Casey Keller and I made a page for selling our chicken’s eggs.

Our ladies, and those raised in similar conditions, are higher in vitamin D, Lutein, Calcium, Vitamin E, Vitamin A, and Omega 3 fatty acids.

They get a fresh diet of high quality chicken feed that include seeds, carrots, peas, and other various veggies.
As well as everything they find free range.

Our hens free range from 8am-8pm, and live in an 8x8 coop with a 21 foot long run when in their coop.

If you’re interested they’re only $6/ dozen, and only $5 if you bring your own carton.

No pressure to buy any, but knowing where your food comes from means a lot to me.
I love these chickens like I’ve loved every pet I’ve owned.
