Just introduced the chicks to their flock. They are just a bit shy of eight weeks old and are ready to meet the other chickens in their sequestered coop that adjoins the big coop and run. They are having a blast! Fourteen out of fifteen survived, and they are very healthy and happy so far!

Dug through the snowcrete a couple days after the storm to make a cleared path to the chicken coop/run, as the ice was very slippery and dangerous to walk on, even with ice spikes. Used a pickaxe and spade shovel. Was a lot of work, but definitely easier getting back and forth to take care of the “girls”, and George our rooster!
