"The Healer Between Heartbeats"
They say the hummingbird came from the breath between worlds — too fast to be caught, too gentle to be feared.
She appears where pain settles quietly, where the air holds memory. Her wings do not fight the wind — they weave through it, stitching together what was torn by time.
The elders believe she carries the voices of those who left too soon. Not to speak for them, but to remind us: love never leaves, it just changes shape.
Her feathers shimmer with stories. Her flight is a prayer.
She doesn’t stay long. Healing never does.
But where she lands, something begins again.
They call her Teyána — The One Who Touches Without Bruising.

“Sána’ka – The Spirit Cat”

They say the Spirit Cat does not belong to the earth, nor the stars — but to the space in between.

Long ago, when the world was still quiet and the sky listened, a cat appeared through the smoke of a sacred fire. Her fur shimmered like the night, her eyes deeper than silence. She made no sound, but every elder felt her presence.

They called her Sána’ka — The Watcher Between Worlds.

She was not a pet, not a hunter. She was something more. When a child cried without reason or a dream left someone restless, Sána’ka would be there — curled beside the fire, or watching from a shadow.

People began to believe she could slip into dreams, guard the soul while it healed, and guide the lost safely home. She never stayed long. She came when needed. And when she left, peace followed.

To honor her, some carved her image above their door. Others wore a tiny paw made of stone around their necks. They said she brought clarity, comfort, and quiet truth.

Even now, some believe — if you feel a stillness in the room, and a cat looks at you with eyes that seem too old for this world…

It might be Sána’ka, reminding you:
You are never truly alone.

Warriors are not what you think of as warriors. The warrior is not someone who fights, because no one has the right to take another life. The warrior, for us, is one who sacrifices himself for the good of others. His task is to take care of the elderly, the defenseless, those who cannot provide for themselves, and above all, the children, the future of humanity. —Sitting Bull (c. 1831 - 1890), Hunkpapa Sioux.

History is not there for you to like or dislike. It is there for you to learn from it. And if it offends you, even better. Because then you are less likely to repeat it. It’s not yours for you to erase or destroy. ❤️
