I took a trip to Sandusky this week and discovered a few new local spots that I didn't know about. Sora & Oak Sushi and Whiskey Bar is a great little spot tucked away on a side street. I got there unannounced, right at opening on a Tuesday, hoping to miss any kind of dinner crowd, but I wasn't there very long and the place began to fill up. The Bulgogi Beef Nachos are a Must Order! I loved these things. Also, the sushi chef made me a special roll called the Flame that is not on the menu. This was delicious as well. They also make their own whiskey but I wasn't drinking that day so I'm going to have to stop back to try it out. Let me know in the comments if you've tried it. Definitely worth the trip, and I realized that Sandusky has a great little food scene right in Downtown. I will be back to try more spots.
