Hi guys! Looks like the last indoor market of the season is happening today. It will (mixed feelings) be the last one that Crafthouse will participate in for the foreseeable future.
Not an easy decision for us, but hopefully the correct one. We've had an overwhelmingly positive experience as vendors at the Glenwood Sunday Market over the past three years, due in large part to you wonderful customers. I can count on one hand the number of customers who have been less than pleasant to deal with, but can think of literally dozens of people who I look forward to seeing and catching up with at the market, quite a few more who have become good friends. We had no idea going in how our business would be received, or if it would be sustainable. The answers turned out to be "well" and "yes".
As you may have picked up on, however, we are a small small-business. And, while we have been profitable, those profits have been in proportion to our size, while demanding a disproportionate amount of energy to generate. So...the questions at this point are: 1) Do we want to go all in a grow this thing? and 2) What's the best way to go about it? The answers are "yes" and "that's what we're going to be working on this summer instead of making (close to) a ton of sausage."
Please let us know if you have any thoughts on the matter. And if you wanted to come to the market and stock up, today would be a good day. We'll have Kielbasa, Ancho-Vanilla, Pirate-Wurst, Juniper Bkfst, and a fantastic Fagiole Ravioli!
