The Wednesday Lincoln Park markets start tomorrow at 7am and our Saturday Lincoln Park (7a-1p) and West Loop (8a-1p) markets will continue as usual.

This is the one event people ask about all year.
July in Southwest Michigan is a turning point. Cherries, blueberries, raspberries. The first peaches. The fields are full. Squash, cucumbers, tomatoes coming in strong. The menu follows the harvest, built around what’s coming in that week.

We’ll gather at , a third-generation family farm in Southwest Michigan that has been growing for this region for decades. Fruit is picked at peak ripeness and brought straight to market, with a deep, long-standing commitment to the land and the people it feeds.

It’s simple in the best way. Good food, grown well, cooked with care, shared outside.

Your ticket includes a five course meal that reflects the height of the season and the relationships behind it.

This is a fundraiser for Green City Market. Every ticket helps make this work possible. It supports the farmers behind the stands, brings people closer to the food on their plate, and keeps this market open and accessible to more of our community.

Earlier this week, Green City Market staff visited at their farm in Old Mill Creek, Illinois.

Skyfall Flowers is a certified organic cut-flower farm specializing in dahlias and growing various annuals and perennials.

Tania and Adam, creators and farmers of Skyfall Flowers, showed the GCM team around the farm, shared the history of the 7-acre family-owned land, and dove into the hard work that goes into bringing their beautiful blooms to the market each year.

The team got to work planting flowers and plucking weeds while learning about Skyfall’s commitment to farming in the rhythm of nature, to provide quality, long-lasting flowers

Be on the lookout for Skyfall Flowers at our Lincoln Park market on both Wednesdays and Saturdays soon!

Happy Earth Day from Green City Market!

The Green City Market is committed to reducing food waste and giving our community sustainable food options that are both healthy for them and the earth

Since 2012, we have been partnered with food pantries like and to recover food grown my local farmers to provide it to Chicagoans facing food insecurity.

In a world where 80 billion pounds of food is wasted each year, Green City Market is committed to recovering quality food from quality farmers who promote practices like reducing emissions, improving soil health, and protecting water systems.

And we need your help>>

Green City Market is looking for 1-2 regular volunteers to help with food recovery at our West Loop Markets starting Saturday, May 2nd.

Ideally, volunteers have a personal vehicle and are able to commit to multiple weeks in a row.

As a reminder, throughout the months of April and May the market map will continue to evolve. This is due to the farmers and vendors who join us later in the season. We ask for your patience as the market footprint shifts and expands!

If you can’t find your favorite vendor, they may just be in a different spot than the one you’re used to. Please come to the Green City Market Info Tent at the corner of N Lincoln Ave and N Clark St and the staff will be happy to point you in the right direction.
