There is a difference! And we want you to know why!
When we first started, we used a commercial-grade slow-masticating juicer. But out of integrity, we called our juice Fresh Raw Juice—because we didn’t want to call it something it wasn’t.
We didn’t start calling our juice cold-pressed until we were blessed with an actual cold-press machine. And when we say blessed, we mean it! These machines are a significant investment, but God made a way.
Here’s something many people don’t realize: some large juice brands use cold-press equipment but then process the juice using HPP (High Pressure Processing) to extend its shelf life.
HPP can help preserve the juice without adding preservatives, but it also means the juice is no longer considered raw. And when you’re looking for raw juice, the processing method matters.
That’s one reason you may see a cold-pressed juice with a shelf life of just a few days compared to another that can last for months. The difference isn’t always the ingredients—it’s also what happens to the juice after it’s pressed.
At NuJu Juice Café, we believe in keeping things as close to their natural state as possible. Our raw, cold-pressed juices are made with simple ingredients, with no added water, no preservatives, and no added sugar.
Because for us, it’s not just about making juice.
It’s about being intentional with what we put into our bodies and being honest about what we put into your bottle.
And BTW… NuJu Juice does add one ingredient that you won’t find on the label:
LOVE.
And that ingredient will always be pressed into every bottle. ❤️
