We had the privilege of witnessing history and legacy in full effect today. Smokey Johns' BBQ celebrated 50 years in business with an all-day Block Party for customers & the DFW community. This all-Black business was started by Brent & Juan's parents in Dallas 50 years ago. That alone is an amazing historical feat. But, the legacy continues as his sons, daughters and grandchildren continue to keep and grow what they started. Fifty years is a long time for anyone to remain in business; not to mention a minority owned one.
Congrats on 50 years Smokey Johns BBQ!
May you continue to grow and expand 50 more years!

Did you know our labels started out as artwork? Oneal Pullie, renown east coast artist & former coworker, is the designer of our labels. He hand-drew each one before making them print-ready.We sometimes display them framed at vendor events and customers have inquired about purchasing them. Nope!
(The last picture are the products we no longer cook-Corn Relish, Salsa, Pear Preserves, Fig Preserves & Apple Butter). We just kept the pics cause we 'em.

Unless you or someone you know personally grow produce without sprays or herbicides, you should wash & use a scrub brush on ALL fruit & veggie purchases.

West Wall Street celebrated its 10th Anniversary at Friendship West Baptist Church this past Sunday. Although Providence Preserves was not a vendor at its initial launch in the fall of 2016, we were certainly on board by that following year. Many minority-owned businesses have been introduced because of this venue.
We are both pleased and honored to have been part of the 10th Anniversary Celebration.
