Many people refer to all wild berries as “wolfberries.” However, in fact, only two types of wild fruits are correctly called wolfberries. The first plant is called privet. This shrub is widespread in Ukraine, so it is possible that you have encountered it more than once. This plant is quite massive, its height can reach up to 5 meters. The culture is often used for decorative purposes, to create hedges. At the same time, the plant also blooms beautifully with white inflorescences. Why is this plant dangerous? Its flowers and leaves are not poisonous, but the black berries, when consumed, cause severe vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, loss of consciousness, and in rare cases, even death.
