A “thank you” just doesn’t seem like enough. To our sponsors, volunteers, donors, and vendors, we could not have put this on without you. We tried to tag everyone in a post yesterday, and it deleted the post, stating “too many people tagged.” That statement says it all. We at Coalfield Development are honored to be able to serve our community and to link arms with those who have been doing it for years.
To our Sponsors
-Mingo County Commission, Mingo County Redevelopment Authority, Terry and Penny Sammons, Greg “Hootie” Smith, George Patterson, and George Swain-
Thank you for investing in our community the way you do. Even though you did not ask for recognition, it needs to be known how much you care for the kids in our community.
To our Support Team
Mitchell Bias (Regional Church of God), Fountain Place Movie Theatre, Reed’s Sprayfoam Insulation, Hatfield & McCoy Recreational Center, Clover Sales, Ko Kreations, Sam’s Club, Gritt’s Farm, Hernshaw Farms, Giovanni’s of Gilbert, Bears Septic Services, West Brothers Contracting, Rodney Chambers, Brandon Cline, David Jones, Baby T, and Aiden Burke
Thank you for stepping in and providing assistance to help make this event what it was, giving time, resources, prize donations, and more!
Thank you, Burch K–8 and Gilbert K–8, for allowing us to come show off some animals at the school. We had a great time and hope we can do it again!
A Special Thanks
Karla Allen – You embody community spirit. You offered to help with anything needed, even offering games you and your church built. You volunteered the entire night. Thank you for your willingness and dedication to our community.
ProStart (Mingo Central, Daniel Sizemore) and Williamson Health & Wellness (Post 49 – Kristen DeBoard) –
The food was amazing. The hot chocolate and popcorn were a gift, and your years of pioneering food education and accessibility should be commended. We are thankful to call you friends.
John White – You always go above and beyond to support us in all we do. Not only did you buy all the corn for our corn pits, but you also delivered it right to the farm. Even after this unbelievable gesture, you still asked if there was anything else you could do. You have always been this way toward us. We are truly blessed to have you in our community.
Richard and Deanna Powers – This event was actually inspired by previous events you both have put on for our community (true story). Thank you for years of dedication and service. As we were leaving the event, we told you, “We could not do this without you,” to which you responded, “Yes, you could.” This is the definition of an impactful leader. Even though we may be able to do it without you, there is no way we would want to. You both are the best and dear to us. Thank you!
Last but not least, thank you to those who came. We enjoyed connecting over carnival games, food, animals, and community. We have many things to improve on, but we are committed to making this one of the best events in West Virginia.
Until next year!
