Is anyone ever excited about the weekend because it means you actually get to see your man more than just 4 hours lol while he is worn out from the day and life is still going at it through the week. (Not that it stops for weekends lol)

No? Just me?? πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

I always look forward to the weekend.. Our schedules are busy, my honey doesn't get home till after 5 almost 6 some times. By the time dinner and evening chores are done and getting ready for the next day it feels like it's a very quick 1 hour of actually seeing him. Weekends are a must.

Even though they are usually filled with working on projects, trying to work in down time to just rest up because his job is tiresome. I genuinely look forward to the weekends so we can actually see each other without all the work yuck in the mix.

Hug your honey today, especially if they are working out in this heat and weather. Don't let them go without knowing how much you appreciate all the hard work that is done. Fellas, do the same back, show the woman thats holding the house down that you appreciate her hard work as well. πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Umm... I think someone left the oven on... πŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅ Who else is ready for cooler weather.

My honey went to the garden last night after checking for eggs. He came back up hiding something, went in the house. Well I went in a few minutes later to be stopped and told to hold on lol. These little beauties were the reason. It's the little things that really do make the best memories, or making you realize little things. The purple zinnia was the bloom from our over 6ft stalk. Cody said he hadn't realized it had grown that much since we took the picture of it lol. His words were, you remember that really tall one, taller than you, well it is taller than me too, and he is 6'2. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

When I had came in and was stopped, I seen Cody rinsing out a little vase. I said ummm, I'm not trying to ruin anything but please tell me that if you're using a vase that had flowers in it, that you.... He stopped me right there lol, he had already gotten the old ones out on a plate so we could save the seeds 🀣πŸ₯°. This man was trying to be sweet and making it happen all while thinking of the seeds for next year, from the cuts we had the last round before I ever asked. πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Happy Friday, Happy weekend. Ya'll stay cool and hydrated. Stay safe and have fun. Alrighty, byyye.

Sorry for the yucky pic, it was a last minute thought, and had already started getting dark.

Who all put humming bird feeders out?? We have one, will be adding more next year, but the last few days it has attracted so many yellow jackets 😬😬. I sprayed them off all the time. The humming birds are able to get into a couple spots but the yellow-jackets would just run them out. So I went to researching.... Cages big enough to keep the bad bugs out small enough for the hummers to eat. No thanks.... Um some sort of spray chemical... Noo.... Good oh oil lol. Seriously!? Yes!!. If you can rub your feeder that the birds eat out of with some sort of food grade oil, the yellow jackets don't like crawling on it but it is safe for the birds. Even the spray kind.

So I gave it a go. The yellow jackets have left the feeder alone and the humming birds have been able to get some supper.

We're ready for the weekend. We hope everyone have a safe one and stays cool, and hydrated.

Slowly but surely. We're getting our first lining of "insulation" going up lol, good old feed bags. One window got it's cover done and finished. The front door got it's k**b and latch. The next 2 windows and pen door are the last to do. Some little work around the door frame edge, then the roosts.

Aster pup got the green light yesterday, all of her staples are out, she healed up nicely, and is donut free lol.

Happy Tuesday everyone. Stay cool and safe. Rehydrate. Alright byye.

Out in the garden picking a few flowers and ripping up the old greens to move em out, our Zinnias have done great this year, we still have a few growing and waiting to bloom. Trying to decide on the little fall garden we want to toss out to give a go.

This one takes the cake she's over 5 ft tall. I know because that's how tall I am 🀣🀣. There's 5-6 shoots off her main stalk. We're just letting her grow until she stops lol. I've taken 6 or so flowers from this plant alone already this season.

Tomorrow Aster goes to get her staples out, hoping she gets the green light on removing that donut lol. She's about to go bonkers.

Chicken coop is almost finished. We're at the very end of it, little details to touch up then on to the next step. Hope you've all had a great weekend.

Well with all the crazy in the world today... Atleast our ducks were in a row last night 🀣🀣.

Aster pup says "Get this thing off of me, moom". She is ready for her donut to come off lol, not going to lie we all are. While she does get to use it as a comfy pillow when she lays down, the aggravation alone it causes her I can say we're all ready lol. The 31st we go to get her staples out. She has been coming back to her silly tag along self, played with her toy last night more than she has been so that's a great sign.

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday. Stay cool and safe. Alright byye. πŸ‘‹

Our natural pest control has been hard at work lately. I've always been kinda fascinated with bugs, but at a good distance for most because eww lol, and they probably fairly think the same about us humans 🀣🀣. I know I would if I was a critter and one of us walked up. πŸ˜….

We do our best to not use any chemicals around the house for bug removal, between the chickens and the cats and dogs not to mention the garden it has it's moments of aggravation, but sometimes it is necessary. Even in the moments it is, we still do our best to find things that only target the bugs we want to remove, not every bug in sight.

They aren't always the cutest or prettiest, but they are just doing their own thing trying to survive as well, and sometimes we have to give them the space for that.

Happy Weekend everyone!!

Sorry we've been a bit preoccupied this week, and not really posting. Aster pup went Tuesday to get spayed, we had a little bumpy road during so we've been giving her all the extra attention. She's fine now and healing, slowly coming back to the wiggle butt pup we know best. Doc bumped her pain meds up so she can now comfortably move around and rest easier.

We go the 31st for her staples to come out and then a little more slow down time before we hit the fall adventures. I can't wait to be able to take her places now, it was always a worry someone else wouldn't have control of their dog and she would get pregnant... No worries about that anymore πŸ˜…πŸ˜….

Peep our beautiful zinnias. They are popping up so well.

Hope you've all had a good week. And great weekend. Be safe, Byyye.
