Friends! Next Friday, Sept 18th! Spend happy hour in solidarity with our macomb county comrades!

We’re really looking forward to packing the Shafer-Rachelle VFW Post with folks who are working towards building the kinds of worlds we wanna live in—and we’re so excited to catch up with old buds from the EP FreeStore and The Little Free Pantry On Hayes network.

See you there!

September 18th, at 5:30- 8pm. At the, VFW Shafer-Rachelle-Latham Post 6782 Eastpointe, Michigan

In partnership with The Little Free Pantry On Hayes, we are putting on a resource fair! There will be free hot food, free haircuts, a FreeStore set up with ton's of free items. Hygiene products, pantry goods, clothing, houseware, and much more.

We will have a bunch of free resource tables set up. All amazing organizations, with much to offer the community.

Feel free to like, share, and let your friends who aren't on FB know so we can help as many folks as possible.

On Sundays we scrub…

… and stock
… and list
… and message

Cause we don’t fight on Wednesdays, and that starts with having what we need each week to make as many plates as the pans will yield.

Shout out to all the folks acting in the between times to ensure the of the world go according to plan—we’d salute ya, but that’s not really our jam 😉

For info on how ~you~ can help feed our utensil habit, look no further than the standard places you might find such a thing. Your local purveyor of clamshell to-gos thanks you!

It’s Weeeeedneeeesdaaaaaay!

And so this evening, as some iteration of this collective has done every week since 2018, we’ll be at the transit center downtown—along with fresh veggies, assorted groceries, and a hot community meal to share with anybody who gets hungry (no questions, no commitments, no cost 😉)

First plate goes out around six, and we keep at it until the last pan is scraped clean.

Happy Wednesday, and see you soon!

Check out the feast our buds at Monroe Food Not Bombs are cooking up downriver every monday night!

Sending solidarity from the transit center, y’all—may your bread be fresh and your roses plentiful 💜💜💜

We've been sharing at these mutual aid events with a ton of rad people and organizations, the next one coming up mid May. There's been skillsharing, food, freestores, music and open mics, free car repair clinics, networking etc, if anyone wants to join. Will share the official flyer with more info once we know the specifics.

Hi there, PSA for people who use Signal for privacy- this is a way to help keep your messages safe from a loophole that keeps partial messages on smartphones even after using disappearing messages and deleting the app that may be useful.

A dedicated member of our mutual aid community escaped a fire with his dog thankfully, but lost his house and work equipment. If you are able to share a few dollars, gfm link in comments (bc fb hides posts with outside links in them)

Hey! We are still active doing the thing but haven't been posting on social media much lately but we gotta share these new community fridge projects to support! It's from a very well established friend organization who helps tons of people and orgs like us to share food for a long time so every dollar goes towards the people.
