There is a fundamental choice every olive oil brand eventually makes:

How much can we produce—or what oil are we willing to put our name on?

Malaki was built around the second question.

Our focus is extra virgin olive oil with a clear Jordanian origin, connected to the harvest and the character we want Malaki to represent.

We're not trying to make Malaki the olive oil found everywhere.

We would rather remain deliberate about the oil we choose and the story behind it than chase volume simply for the sake of becoming bigger.

Before there is olive oil, there are hands.

This Labor Day, we're thinking about the work that happens long before a bottle of olive oil ever reaches a table.

Olives don't harvest themselves.

Behind every harvest are people tending trees, watching the fruit develop, picking olives and carrying forward knowledge built over generations.

For Malaki, those hands are especially meaningful because our extra virgin olive oil begins in the Jordan Valley, where the relationship between people, land and olive trees runs deep.

Today, we celebrate work—not only the finished product.

This isn't our kitchen. And that's exactly why we love this photo.

A real customer sent us this photo of Malaki Olive Oil in their kitchen, right in the middle of preparing a meal.

No studio. No food stylist. No carefully arranged product shoot.

Just a bottle of Malaki being used where good extra virgin olive oil is supposed to be used—in a real kitchen.

That's one of our favorite parts of building Malaki. The journey starts with olives and growers in the Jordan Valley, but it doesn't end when a bottle reaches America.

It ends up beside someone's stove, on a family table, in a favorite recipe, and eventually becomes part of someone else's food traditions.

Thousands of miles separate the Jordan Valley from an American kitchen, but that is exactly the journey behind Malaki.

The olives begin in Jordan, in a region with a long relationship with the olive tree and olive oil. From that origin comes Malaki Extra Virgin Olive Oil, brought to the United States with its identity intact.

We created Malaki to connect two places that are important to our story: the groves of Jordan and the tables of America.
