The head cold has officially overstayed its welcome, and my 40-something hormones are still throwing a drum solo in my uterus. It’s a lot. If I were a computer, I’d be the "Blue Screen of Death" right now.
To keep from glitching out entirely, I’ve swapped to the Galley and Oars: Petal and Lore blend. It’s basically a spa day in a mug, and frankly, it's the only thing keeping the peace. Here is the magic brew currently saving my life:
Spearmint & Peppermint: Clearing the sinuses and cooling the internal fire.
Red Rose & Jasmine: Making me feel like a fancy Victorian lady instead of a swamp creature.
Butterfly Pea & Raspberry Leaf: Handling the "monthly plumbing" issues with some botanical grace.
Lemon Balm: Calming the "I might cry at a laundry commercial" nerves.
Granulated Honey & Coconut Oil: Coating my throat so I can actually speak again.
I may be 80% mucus and 20% hormones, but at least I’m hydrated and smelling like a botanical garden.

Adventure time! Wamego Kansas is home to the Friendship house which is an old home made into a restaurant and bakery, we ate there and then grabbed a dozen home baked cookies. Walked through their Amazing park and I loved their Windmill.
We spent our Super Bowl Sunday outside in the fresh air! Galley and Oar encourages spending time safely enjoying new places ✨️

Oh, my darling, let me tell you about the sunniest flower in the herbal garden—Calendula! She's the golden-hued, whimsical best friend your body didn't know it needed. She doesn't just sit there looking pretty; she's a powerhouse, a shimmering secret weapon, especially for us women!
Imagine Calendula tea as a warm, liquid hug for your entire system.
The Whimsical Wonders of Drinking Calendula Tea:
The Happy Tummy Whisperer: If your belly is throwing a tiny tantrum (think gas, a little grumble, or general upset), Calendula is the soothing balm. She has this magical way of calming the delicate lining of your digestive tract, like spreading a velvet carpet over rough terrain. She helps with everything from mild indigestion to just feeling nice and settled after a meal.
The Monthly Moon Cycle Muse (for Women!): Ah, the joys of the monthly visit. Calendula is often called upon as a gentle "emmenagogue" (meaning she can help stimulate or regulate that flow) and has antispasmodic properties. Think of her as your personal, gentle masseuse, helping to relax those cranky pelvic muscles and ease the drama of menstrual cramps. A warm cup can feel like a cozy blanket against that monthly discomfort!
The Inner Glow Fairy (Skin from the Inside Out): You know how topical creams with calendula make your skin sing? Drinking the tea is like giving your skin a spa day from the inside! Her powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds work systemically to calm irritation and support your skin's health, helping you shine with that natural, lit-from-within radiance.
The Lymphatic System Cheerleader: Your lymphatic system is like your body's private, amazing waste-removal crew. Calendula is known as a lymphatic tonic, helping to keep that crew happy and moving things along. This can help with reducing general puffiness and supporting your body's natural detoxification processes—a true internal spring cleaning!
The Immune System Sparkle: Packed with wonderful natural compounds like flavonoids and carotenoids, she gives your immune system a cheerful little boost. It’s like a tiny, golden suit of armor helping your body stay strong and resilient.
So, next time you brew a cup of those cheerful, dried golden petals, imagine you're sipping sunshine and infusing your entire self with the gentle, powerful magic of the garden. Cheers to your whimsical, healthy glow!
