Sunday's are my start of the week, so I like to get our week started strong. This means I meal plan, get Jason's nut mix made and bake Colton's daily snack (usually mini muffins). I typically meal plan from my pantry, fridge and freezer inventories. With me not working right now, it's very important for us to hold a tight budget. Jason buys meat for me to freeze and between the meat and what we have in the pantry, I plan our meals for the week, trying to leave one night for him to grill.

This has been a really good way for us to use what we have, stop over buying and stay on budget. We shop sales and get only what we need (Jason doesn't do it often, however he ensures that we have Popsicles and ice cream for he and the boy 😅😂😅).

Tonight was supposed to be Grilled Chicken Legs, however the propane tank is leaking, so we pivot! It's going to be baked chicken legs instead, with a salad. Chicken tends to be the cheaper option, along with large pork loins, which I cut down and freeze for separate meals. We do buy hamburger, the large packs, when on sale as well.

It honestly, is fun to see what meals I can make and come up with, with the items we have. Obviously, we do go to the store, I just did a Walmart run, but it is for things like milk, eggs, lunch meat and bulk items for Colton's lunches.
