A dear friend of many years has faced an immense loss with the passing of his beloved mother this week. In tribute to this extraordinary woman, who Carollee Fleming and I were fortunate enough to know, we've chosen to honor her memory by naming the calf that was born today after her - meet Betty! We hope she embodies many of the remarkable qualities that defined her namesake, a wonderful mother and loyal friend.
