A little backstory on our sweet McLaren 🦌
When McLaren was only about 2 days old, she developed an infection and a bad case of scours so we had to take her to our deer nicu (inside the house😂). That first week was incredibly hard. She had no energy, couldn’t eat on her own, and I’ll never forget holding her in my arms while she laid there almost lifeless. 🥺

We worked around the clock to give her the best chance we could including syringe feedings every 2 hours, medications, fluids, and lots and lots of love. Little by little, she started getting stronger.
Then came the day she finally started taking a bottle again, and we were so so happy! 🥹From there, she turned a corner and never looked back.

Now McLaren is healthy, happy, and rowdy! Watching her run around today after seeing how sick she once was makes us so thankful!

Pet of the Week: McLaren 🦌

Meet McLaren! She was one of our bottle babies born this year and has had quite the journey. McLaren was one of our sick fawns this season and required lots of extra love and care. We are so happy to say that she is now healthy, thriving, and full of personality!

A few fun facts about McLaren:
🍎 She is obsessed with fawn treats (Calf-Manna 😂)
❤️ She loves following her humans around wherever they go
🤣 If you’re wearing jewelry, there’s a good chance she’ll try to eat it off of you😅

McLaren is one of the sweetest deer we’ve ever raised, and seeing how far she has come makes her even more special to us!🩷
