As we continue to strengthen the local economy here in Northwest Arkansas, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on some of our incredible local partners! Stay tuned as we highlight the people and businesses that make our community so special. 🎉

Today is local partner, Fossil Cove Brewery! ✨🍻

Fossil Cove Brewery was established in 2012, 14 years ago! At that time, there were only a handful of breweries operating in the entire state of Arkansas, compared to the 50+ now. Fossil Cove was the first production brewery in Fayetteville.

Ben started making home-brewing while attending college. After graduating he worked at some small breweries in Colorado and then attended the Master Brewers Certificate Program at University of California Davis before opening Fossil Cove in 2012.

Fossil Cove is named after a cove on Beaver Lake where Ben enjoyed spending time. The lake supplies the water to NWA, including the water used to brew their beer. They make it a point to use local artists in all their work including their colorful dinosaur cans. They support a lot of local businesses and community events. They also organize the ever popular, Frost Fest event each year. You can definitely tell they love NWA! And we love them!

Their Session IPA is one of our favorites and it is perfect for summer! Bursting with citrus, stone fruit, pine and tropical hop notes, the Session is suited for whatever adventure lies ahead. 🍻

Fast forward to today and Pedal Pops has their own community space called Pedal Park! You can find Pedal Pops there and they also have other food trucks, Arkansas craft beverages, and events!

Here is a bit from Pedal Pops about their pops!

Today is local partner, Margaret’s from Fayetteville! ✨

Margaret's started in 2021 as a food trailer serving farm to table breakfast tacos, burritos, and biscuit sandwiches. Chef Alberto crafted a sauce to serve on the side of all of their dishes, and people loved it. People were asking how to buy more of it at a time, so they decided to start packaging it!

The sauce is very simple, but so flavorful. Just 4 ingredients that each serve a purpose. Chile de arbol for color and spice, vinegar for acidic tang and preservation, salt for balance and preservation, and chia seed to thicken and emulsify. Margaret’s hot sauce isn't just the perfect topping to any dish, you can also cook with it. Put it in chili, wing sauce, or anything else you want to add spice, salt, and acid balance to.

The food safe plastic pouch it is sold in makes it a great addition to the cooler for outdoor activities, camping, boating, picnics in the park, with no threat of broken glass.

It is very shelf stable, and will keep in the fridge after opening for up to a year.

We are so excited to carry Margaret’s hot sauce! Margaret’s also serves food at the Fayetteville Farmer's Market every Saturday.

Fun fact, they make the hot sauce in Spring Kitchen in Springdale, a great shared kitchen space!

Today is local partner, Sweet Punkin’s Bakeshop from Farmington! ✨

Sweet Punkin’s Bakeshop is more than a bakery. It is a love letter to Southern hospitality, heirloom recipes, and the kind of desserts that make people pause after the first bite.

Founded by Northwest Arkansas baker and hospitality professional Valecia, Sweet Punkin’s began with a simple belief: desserts should feel personal. They should remind you of family gatherings, handwritten recipes tucked into kitchen drawers, Sunday dinners, and the warmth of being welcomed home.

Raised on the traditions of scratch made Southern baking, Valecia learned early that food carries memory, comfort, and connection. Inspired by her parents, her father Henry “Punkin,” whose legendary sweet tooth became the namesake behind the brand, she built Sweet Punkin’s around recipes from her mother, Theressa, rooted in legacy and made with intention.

Every pound cake, tea cake, cookie, and confection is handcrafted in small batches using real ingredients and time-honored methods. No shortcuts. No preservatives. Just rich butter, flour dusted counters, citrus zests, slow mixing bowls, and the kind of care you can taste.

What began as a cottage bakery quickly grew into something much larger. Sweet Punkin’s has become known across Northwest Arkansas for its signature Southern pound cakes, elevated dessert experiences, and warm storytelling centered on gathering, celebration, and hospitality. The brand blends classic Southern baking with a modern, refined aesthetic that feels both nostalgic and luxurious.

From Valecia’s kitchen to your table, thank you for supporting handmade desserts, local dreams, and the sweet tradition of gathering well.

Make sure you check out these incredible desserts the next time you are in the Co-op!

Today is local partner, Red Bird Naturals from Goshen, AR! ✨

Red Bird Naturals creates handcrafted, small batch herbal body care products and was founded in 2011.

Here’s a bit from Red Bird Naturals,

“The name Red Bird Naturals is inspired by and dedicated to Grandma Zimmer, "who would sit me in her soft lap and tell me the story of a little red bird that would fly to her window and deliver the good news of the day."

“Our Whipped Tallow Butter featured in honey almond has a light sweet smell and is packed with all natural ingredients. "Herbs, butters, waxes, and oils are ensured to be low impact and safe for Earth's renewal processes. Tallow is ideal for individuals with sensitive skin. Our body care products are 80-85% organic and fresh within one month of placing them on the shelf - this makes for a nutritiously rich & as-straight-from-the-ground product as possible!

Wild crafted and farm-grown ingredients from the Ozark Mountains are the heart of our products. It is our commitment to choose sustainably grown herbs that are native to Arkansas and/or grown by the fine members of our community in Northwest Arkansas. Our suet tallow comes from grass-fed and grass-finished cows living their best life on a regenerative pasture. Each small batch is made with love and intention.”

Red Bird Naturals will be here tomorrow, Friday, May 22nd, from 3:30pm to 8pm! Stop by, say hi, and try out their tallow!
