When you sit back and think of any summer celebration you have attended, I'm sure you can nail down a few very important features.
-food. brought out probably in crockpots, big silver pans, and foil wrapped trays of hot dogs and hamburgers. Big blue coleman coolers with beer, hug jugs, and pop. The little push up popsicles that are basically just sugar and dye but hit the dang spot.
-music (I freakin hope so)
-loved ones. This is probably the most important. From grandparents, to close friends, aunties you choose & that couple you haven't seen in awhile because they work night shift. The people you love make the party. I often remember these parties with THESE people, and how much I miss the simplicity of it all. That's when it clicked for me.
We don't need anything elaborate to make us feel something. We need our people. We need our unity. We need those stupid plastic chairs in the backyard filled with the people we love & kids sitting on their laps.
When we think about "what's missing" and why we miss "back when"... I'm sure we can think of A LOT of different things right now. Maybe we crave a time when gas was cheap, when terror wasn't looming, when everyday rhetoric couldn't get a little too political.
I want to offer pay what you can sessions to help us bring a piece of that nostalgia back home to ford city. We need our community fireworks!
I'll be making an event so you know all the details, but Lindsey & myself will be hosting sessions. On June 10th & 12th. On the 10th, with me, you'll see a couple of plastic chairs- just like those ones you remember from childhood. Let's fill them with your family and take a couple pictures together to help raise the funds for fireworks for our whole family to enjoy.
(of course you can get a couple not in my chairs lol)
If you could, please help me spread the word. These are quickie lil seshies meant to fulfill the need for "just a few photos!" and with the cash you donate, we'll be getting our community one step closer to the 4th of July celebration we know and love.
Thank you for your support.

We are asking for your Help!

At this time, Ford City Heritage Festival is still not quite to our $10,000 goal to pay for this year's fireworks show. We still need $6,500! If you would like to help with a contribution, you may do so by mailing a check (Rittner's Community Events), Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal-- no donation is too small! We know this town, we know that everyone missed the fireworks last year, and we know you all love helping when you can. We need to have the full payment in for fireworks by June 15th!!
Please note: We will be posting final contributions list once our goal has been reached. We will also have a banner with everyone who made a contribution at the event.
Checks can be dropped off or mailed to Rittner's Community Events 1305 4th Ave Ford City, PA 16226
