We still have a few signs left to install, but it’s finally starting to look like the vision Liane Nadeau had when she designed our logo—and we couldn’t be more excited!

A huge thank you to BB Laser and Apparel LLC for creating such beautiful signage. You really brought our space to life!

🚧 Quick update: we’re preparing to have a trench dug so we can bring The Cool Dog over to The Doghouse. 😉

For everyone’s safety, the driveways are currently blocked off. We truly appreciate your patience as we wrap up these final touches!

Not only do we have the best tradesmen around, but lucky for me… they’ve also mastered the art of “girl time.” 😅

When I say 7:15, what I apparently mean is: “You guys get there early, hang out outside, and I’ll roll in fashionably late at 7:30 to unlock the door.” And did they complain? Not one bit. Just laughs, jokes, and straight to work like the pros they are.

Huge shoutout to Ken, Mike, and the crew from Pelletier Electric for always coming through for the Market—no matter what time I actually show up—and for bringing great attitudes along with their skills every single time.

One of their latest projects was wiring the customer counter to power the food warmer, point of sale, and ice cream freezer… and that’s just part of it. I’ll save some more surprises for another time. 😉

The time is finally here… The Doghouse Kitchen at 96 Market is looking to build our team! 🐾❤️

We are searching for friendly, hardworking people who want to be part of something exciting from the very beginning. If you love working with others, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and want to help create an amazing experience for our customers, we’d love to hear from you!

We have a variety of positions available, including opportunities for those who:
🍳 Love cooking hot, homemade meals
☕ Enjoy serving customers at the drive-thru with fresh coffee and ready-to-go items
🥗 Prefer prepping ingredients and creating fresh salads and sandwiches
🧹 And everything in between to help keep the kitchen running smoothly!

At The Doghouse Kitchen, we’re building more than just a workplace—we’re building a team. We’re looking for dependable individuals who are positive, motivated, and excited to grow with us as we bring this vision to life.

🕕 Our starting hours will be 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with plans and opportunities to expand as we grow!

Another big shout out! 👏

These posts may seem to be happening a lot lately, but there is so much going on behind the scenes as we get the market ready to serve you—and we are incredibly lucky to have some of the most AMAZING, talented, and skilled tradespeople in our area helping make it happen. They all deserve recognition!

A huge thank you to Mike’s Plumbing and Heating for installing the ice maker, dipper well, and new sink sprayer. Your attention to detail and craftsmanship do not go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate the pride you take in your work!

Also, thank you to Performance Foodservice and Randy Carney for the awesome wall-mounted chemical dispenser! This will make it easy to ensure we always have the proper amount of soap and sanitizer in our sinks to keep our cooking supplies clean, safe, and up to standard.

We couldn’t do this without all of your hard work and support! 💛

Huge shoutout to the amazing team at R.M. Flagg Restaurant Equipment & Kitchen Supply 🙌 From Corey spending nearly 2 hours with me in-store helping pick out equipment (and that’s not even counting the endless emails—we may have set a record for longest email thread ever 😆), to the guys who made the trip up from Veazie to deliver and set everything up today… you’ve all made this process so smooth and stress-free. I’m beyond grateful! ❤️

And remember that corner where we ripped out cabinets, fixed the floor, and I showed off my professional paint job?? 😜 Take a look at it now… what a transformation!!

Another HUGE shoutout to Mike and his crew at Nadeau’s Flooring! 👏

A last-minute change of plans meant our brand new, beautiful floor needed some expert help—and they absolutely delivered.
They jumped in, made everything right, and had it looking amazing in no time at all. We’re so grateful!

And yes… you can ignore the paint job 😆 That part was all me—I gave it my best shot!

Also, a big thank you (again!) to TBert for the awesome work on the finishing trim… my husband is especially grateful! 🤣

Our goal is to serve fresh, homemade breakfast and lunch options that are quick, convenient, and ready when you are.

Think “Fetch & Go” — fast, fresh, homemade food without sacrificing quality.
We’re excited to bring something a little different to the area and can’t wait to see it all come together.

We’re working hard behind the scenes to make sure grabbing a great meal on the go is easier than ever!

And just like that — it got real.

We are beyond excited to share that 96 Market featuring The Dog House Kitchen has officially been approved for funding through the Community Development Block Grant Program!

This project wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of Fort Kent’s Town Manager Suzie Paradis, Grant Writer Cindy Bouley, and our town council. Your belief in this vision means everything to us and to our community.

Our very first piece of equipment has arrived, and more is on the way! Every delivery brings us one step closer to opening our doors and serving you fresh, fast, homemade favorites.

We can’t wait to welcome you in. The countdown is on! 🙌

It's been a little while since we've posted a new update for The Market.

For those that don't know, we have applied for a grant to help us purchase some much needed items for The Market. This process takes time, but if our grant application is accepted, the monies will greatly help us set up The Market to meet your needs for fast, homemade breakfasts, lunches and more. :)

We thank you soooo much for your patience!!

Since we are doing our best to be patient as well, we have been making small improvements every Sunday, from pressure washing the entire exterior to setting up the hot dog station. The Doghouse Kitchen wouldn't be complete without offering delicious, hot, steamed Kayem red AND brown (or white ;) ) hot dogs that were originally sold from a small hot dog cart lovingly called The Hot Dog. ❤️🐾

We hope to hear soon about the grant, but do know whether we are approved for the funds or not, we will still be opening, it just might mean on a smaller scale to start and we will grow as we go!
