Late post: Herbal Heath's herb of the week includes chamomile. One of the most popular herbs. Mainly known as a calming tea, it also processes other abilities as well. Extracts of chamomile has three primary uses: as an anti-inflammitory, treating indigestion and menstrual cramps, and a number of other minor illnesses. One could argue that drinking chamomile tea over a consistent period of time would provide the same remedies. The tea is made from the flowers, which contain pollen and may cause contact dermatitis or other allergic reactions. Also its related to ragweed, chrysanthemum, and other members of the Compositae family. Aside from that there are two types of chamomile. German and Roman. Its unclear what the true chamomile is, but its safe to say its chamomile non the less. The daisy like flower is accented by its apple aroma. Chamomile has many uses but the limits are up to you. Combine with other herbs for tea. As I continue along with these posts and growing not just herbs but more knowledge, I'll share ideas of teas, arrangements, drying and storage, and many other helpful tips. Thank you reading.
