Crisp & Classy Dehydrated Yumminess began from something very simple. Love, concern, and wanting something better for family.
The business started because my little sister Heaven loved snacking. Like many people, she would crave potato chips and unhealthy snacks that really were not good for her. One day I decided I wanted to try creating something healthier that still tasted good and felt enjoyable to eat. So I purchased a small dehydrator and started experimenting at home.
The very first thing I made was apples.
At first, I experimented with cinnamon and different flavors, trying to create something unique. But after months of trial and error, I realized something important. Good fruit does not need sugar or preservatives. People simply enjoy real fruit when it is prepared with care and quality.
So I focused on finding fresh fruit, cleaning it carefully, slicing it by hand, preparing it properly, and allowing the dehydrator to slowly do its work. It became less about adding things and more about appreciating the natural sweetness and flavor already there.
One day while riding the bus, I was eating my dehydrated apples as a snack. People around me became curious and started asking questions about what I was eating. I explained that I made dehydrated apples myself at home. Then someone asked me a simple question:
“Do you sell them?”
At first I had not really thought about it seriously, but that moment stayed with me. And little by little, Crisp & Classy began to grow from there.
The meaning behind the name is deeply personal.
“Crisp” represents youth, freshness, flavor, energy, and something vibrant and exciting. That part represents Heaven.
“Classy” represents maturity, experience, growth, grace, and perfection developed over time. That part represents me.
There is a large age gap between us, but together we balance each other. The business became something symbolic of both of us coming together from different generations with one purpose.
More than anything, my hope is that one day Heaven will continue growing this business into something even bigger than what it is now. I want this to become something she can build from, connect with people through, and carry forward throughout her life.
Every bag we make is prepared with love, patience, and care.
There are no preservatives. No unnecessary additives. No shortcuts.
Just real fruit.
Every fruit is cleaned, prepared, sliced, dehydrated, packaged, and shared with the intention of creating something healthy, beautiful, and meaningful for others to enjoy.
Crisp & Classy is not just about snacks.
It is about family. Healing. Creativity. Patience. Community. Healthier choices. Building something from nothing. And showing people that even small ideas created with love can grow into something meaningful.
