Sooo.. jar returns have been okay..... We were very blessed a few weeks ago when a gentleman brought in several boxes of jars and lids. I don't know who he was, but his kindness is much appreciated!

The biggest problem we are having with jar returns is cleanliness. I would strongly dislike being in some of you all's kitchens!! Some jars are returned with curdled milk, sour milk water from rinsing and not drying, not drying or washing at all, cereal- apparently some of you eat your cereal right out of the jar, tea stains, tomatoes and orange juice residues. This causes mold to grow and we HAVE to throw those away. We have thrown away about a dozen jars and lids this last week - most ever!
So please WASH AND DRY YOUR JARS!!!! And don't use them for anything but milk!!!

Sorry for all the posts today! The girls must know that moving day to the new barn is soon. They are getting very curious. And of course it has to be Willow licking the windows! Koolio just minding her manners and watching...

So we had some visitors this morning. They have been hanging around but we never could get a picture. We have had lots of wildlife, including some Huns, coming in for water with the drought. So we set up the sprinkler and of course, the wandering cowbird, Willow, thinks it is her personal drinking fountain!

Just dropped off a BUNCH of cream at The Urban Basket ! The girls are very happy right now - out on alfalfa, that wasn't worth cutting for hay, and getting really awesome hay (thank you Floyd Huckins and Clark Kissack) so they are making lots of milk and cream!

Fresh peach ice cream made with peaches from Colorado! Will be available tomorrow at The Urban Basket along with Mint Chocolate Chip and Raspberry Chocolate Chip Ice Cream!
