Good morning everyone!! Well my Grand Opening was way more than I ever expected and there are really not any words to express my gratitude. This little community just blows me away with the excitement and kind words that were shared all day Saturday. Still today folks are coming in so excited about what we are doing here at the Caterpillar 🥰. We are now taking our Penn’s whole ham orders, Ham gift baskets and fruit and nut baskets. Remember we can fix it with anything from all fruit, fruit and nuts, jams , jellies, molasses, local honey, Bob White Syrup, relish, candies of all kind to include old fashioned stick candy in Horehound, mixed and Creme flavors, lemon and wild cherry drops,chocolate covered peanuts, circus peanuts, orange slices, many more oh so sweet items!! We have strawberries, organic Black berries, pears, bananas, grapes, tangerines, oranges, and apples and we can’t forget those sweet potatoes and turnips, carrots, potatoes in the bag or baking potatoes, tomatoes, Texas sweet onions or baskets of sweet onions, and sweet peppers. We are always carrying Penn’s sausage, bacon, ham slices, biscuit cut and bean seasoning😍. If your in a hurry just call ahead and I will gather your items and meet you under the awning right outside my door🤭 it’s that simple🥰 Don’t forget to shop local and come in and see what the talented gals have put in the booth room, do your grocery shopping and Christmas shopping in one stop! Good Saturday afternoon!! We are busy and hopping here today for our open house!! Just wanted to remind everybody that Santa will be making an appearance tonight at 6 eastern time!! We will be making reindeer food and we have all kinds of snacks and some hot chocolate and spiced tea!! Come on out and see us!!

Good morning everyone!! Happy Thursday! ☺️ we are getting pretty excited here at the Caterpillar Crossing with all our Christmas Candy, fruit and nuts coming in. Seems like everyone is enjoying all the Penn’s hams, sausage and bacon 🤭. Since it’s our 1st Christmas season it seems like every time another item arrives we just get a little more excited!! Friday we will be getting another big shipment of fruit and candies and working like little elves to get everything ready for our Open House Saturday! Be sure to stop in and say Hi to everyone, have a cookie and some Hot Cocoa or Spiced Tea, shop your local vendors ( who have brought some amazing items to sell) and put your name in the basket for the random drawings throughout the day! After Santa arrives at 6:00pm EST, he will be drawing for a large gift basket filled with items from each of our vendors and the Caterpillar 😍. As always if your in a rush call ahead and we will fix your order for you or if your unsure about something we carry or may can carry just call 270-932-1688 and we will help you out! Well it’s Thanksgiving Eve. With the Holidays quickly approaching and everyone is hustling about to get all they need before tomorrow’s big meal.... don’t forget to stop by and see us for all your produce needs. We have fresh Turnips, Turnip Greens, Kale greens, sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cabbage, apples, oranges, peppers, Pen’s sliced ham , biscuit cuts and bean mix, jellies, preserves molasses and local honey. And let’s not forget our Salted Peanuts in the shell😍! Beginning Monday we will have all our local vendors set up and the holiday fruit and nuts will be rolling in! Next week the Pen’s sausage, bacon and whole hams will arrive and soon the Poinsettia’s will be gracing our shop with their beauty! 🤦🏻‍♀️ so totally forgot to mention our Open House will be Dec 1!!! December 1 Is my sweet Mommas birthday! She would have been 88 years young ☺️ I just found in my heart to combine her special day and her love for Christmas with my new location! We will be having hot cocoa and spiced tea, and cookies then at 6:00 EST Santa and Ms. Clause will be arriving for all the sweet babies to get their orders in for Christmas, and make an ornament to take home with them! It will be a special day all the way around and I hope to see you there! Hugs 🐛

Well that went well🤭 all 6 booths filled on first day🙌🏻! I have rearranged a tad and may possibly get one more booth space, I will post this afternoon and let ya’ll know😬😬 So let’s do an update of what’s happened since I last posted. SALTED PEANUTS IN THE SHELL... came in yesterday..... I didn’t realize how many folks loved them 😍 I still have some however a new order will be here Friday 😂😂 On the Vendor side (open to public Nov 26) so far we will have tea towels, ornaments, Mary Kate, hand made jewelry, T-shirt’s, Apple Watch bands and phone cases, customized signs, Santa bags, stockings, stocking holders, pot holders and oven mits, bath salts, sugar scrubs, decorative Christmas mason jars, and many other things that will make your gift giving a breeze! There will also be a stocking stuffer table for last minute items or the perfect stuffer. The Caterpillar will be offering these items..... lots of veggies of course, we have turnips and an assortment of greens available now, molasses, local honey, jellies, Bob White Syrup, apples, oranges, and Penn’s Ham’s, Biscuit cut, sliced bone-in, ham hocks, beans seasoning, bacon and sausage will be here today! And coming soon we will have as follows: assorted Christmas candy, fudge (peanut butter and chocolate) peanut butter balls, peanut brittle, Puppy chow, hard rock candy in assorted flavors... gifts jars will be available as follows: sugar cookies and cowgirl cookies, Friendship soup mix, hot cocoa and spiced tea. Things maybe added as we go but for now those will be available soon, also Thursday and Friday’s we will have fresh baked items( different each week) to help with your holiday cooking☺️ keep checking in to see what’s pouring in! Okay folks let see how crafty we can be..... in my market I have extra space... well I could probably fill it up but you know how it is.... anyway I have been thinking of what I could do with the space for the holidays ....in order to still maintain my sanity, offer neat things for the community, help other locals and still be able to spend time with my family as well through the holidays. And this is my thoughts.... scary I know🤭. We have some crafty folks in our little town and not always can you get your name and items out to the public to sell. I am thinking I have room for oh probably 6 folks to set up their booth and offer their talent to the public. I would only be taking one vendor for each product so for instance if you sell or make candles and tarts you would be the only one offering them. The booths will come first come first serve. Good Morning everyone!!! The Caterpillar Crossing has exciting news to share😍HI Everyone it’s Diann Graham Paxton ,yes been a long time but, since I have had several folks come to my shop saying they didn’t know it was my mine, I wanted to take the time to first introduce myself and let everyone know who owns this little business☺️ Back in July I decided to come home from my State job and start a Roadside Market! I just needed something different but something I still found joy in, hey social workers love feeding people, what can I say, it’s ALWAYS been one of my favorite things to do! So between my love to feed folks and my Brae’s FFA love we decided to grow a garden and sell our stuff, a big garden like HUGE👀..... The little business has went wild, everyday we think of more and more we could do in our Market to be more what our little community needs, well in that craziness we kinda outgrew our little shop...... So we have MOVED!!!! We now have starting today our new shop open 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 We have relocated to 5091 Hodgenville Road. Well anyway the country way to tell the location is at the Summersville caution light in the old Gas station building, across from Dile Reality. Here’s a list of what the Caterpillar Crossing is offering right now:
Turnips, Apples, Green , red or white peppers,Acorn squash,Apples,yellow squash,red and yellow Tomatoes,Red and white skinned Potatoes ,Extra large Baking Potatoes, Sweet potatoes,cabbage along with our Jellies, we have Apple Butter, Pumpkin Butter, and Fresh Oberholter’s Sorghum Molasses and Bob White Syrup! We are carrying relish made from our little towns The Jenny Creek Farms. We will be getting our Green County honey in hopefully this week. Just some of the things we are carrying this fall and winter season, soon we will be getting all of our Fruit, Nuts, Christmas candy and many more items for your Holiday baskets😍 This week we still have Pumpkins and Cushaw left for your eating pleasure and Mums along with few other fall items for your Harvest time decorating. Good gorgeous afternoon everyone!! The sun is shining and fall is upon us😍 Here at the The Caterpillar Crossing we have been super busy and have been beyond blessed with so many wonderful folks coming out to support and show their excitement for our little Market. It has been so wonderful to be able to share stories, laughs and bask in the excitement with everyone. Our mums, pumpkins, and gourds are still coming in nicely just adding the corn shocks and lots of other fall items making sure your fall decorating is complete!!! Our market still has plenty to offer in fresh veggies!! Tomatoes, fresh green beans, new potatoes, squash, zucchini, jalapeños, banana peppers, sweet potatoes and now the Turnips are coming in😍 This afternoon is Farmers Market in Greensburg!, if your unable to get to the shop, come see us at the park in Greensburg, we along with other Market folks will have plenty to offer☺️ We also still have our Anna’s Jellies and Jenny Creek Farms Relish😋 Cant wait to see everyone and as always have a blessed and safe day!
