At this point, I need to be very clear: LEAVE OTHER BUSINESSES ALONE.
What is happening is harassment. It is not a prank, it is not funny, and it is not justified because you are upset with me or my business.
People are mistaking other porch bakeries and attacking them. These are completely uninvolved people who have done absolutely nothing to deserve this treatment.
One of the businesses being wrongly targeted belongs to a postpartum mother. She is navigating the exhausting, overwhelming, and incredibly demanding reality of having a new baby, while also trying to care for her family and cause concern for her livelihood when returning for her bakery. Being a mom comes with enough new things to worry about. She should not have to deal with harassment because someone incorrectly associated her business with mine.
And for the record, I have not commented on anything for the past four days, with the sole exception of asking people to leave other delivery drivers alone. I will not fuel this. I will continue to say what’s right and what’s wrong. If you disagree, don’t support me. I know my character. I would never look to profit and thank “supporters” for being hateful on my behalf.
Yet we continue to have DoorDash and Papa Johns orders sent to our home with the intention of them not being paid for as a “prank.” We have attempted to block our address, only for people to continue placing orders from different locations.
This has now affected small businesses, delivery drivers, and innocent people who have absolutely nothing to do with this.
Stop.
Do not harass other local businesses. Do not send unwanted orders to people’s homes. Do not involve innocent people in something that has nothing to do with them.
There is a real person, a real family, and a real small business behind every one of these businesses you are targeting.
Have some decency. READ before you react. And leave innocent people alone.
