We had a great time during our FIRST SOURDOUGH CLASS at FaithFull Refillery! This is such a beautiful facility to have class. We love our local Monticello spots!

We have also just posted two of our Pumpkin Sourdough classes that we will be offering in October, one at Faithfull Refillery and one at GrannyKat's Apiary Supply & Bee Learning Center! Don't miss out, make sure to book your class before it fills up!

Our September 5th and September 19th Sourdough Classes are at capacity, but don't worry!

Our next class with available seats is on Saturday, September 12th at 5:00 p.m. at FaithFull Refillery, where we will be teaching you how to make our Brioche Sourdough loaf! This is a sweet, buttery and soft sourdough, and while we will be teaching you how to braid the loaf before baking, we believe beginners will still be able to take this class and learn the technique!

We also have space available in our Saturday, September 19th at 10:00 a.m. class at GrannyKat's Apiary Supply & Bee Learning Center, where we will be teaching you how to make our White Sandwich Sourdough loaf! Beginners can 100% make this loaf, so don't be shy! We will break it down into easy steps, provide you with the recipe to take home, and invite you to our Facebook group for any follow up questions and concerns! (Half Acre Wood's Sourdough Class is the name of the Facebook group, feel free to join now!)

Between donations and sales, we have raised $300.50 so far for the Goat House Farm Inc dairy goat program kids to attend fall shows! WOW!

Remember, 60% of every order Half Acre Wood receives this week goes straight to the kids' show expenses! We take direct orders and offer FREE DELIVERY to Madison, Jefferson, and Leon counties on Thursday for orders $30 or over! If an order is under $30, the delivery fee is $4.

Direct orders can be placed through our website at www.halfacrewoodflorida.com , and donations for the kids can be sent via Venmo directly to Goat House Farm!

All money raised will pay for the vet inspections required to participate in shows, for gas to get to the shows, and for the kids entry fees in open show! Let's give these kids a great experience this fall! 😊

We mean it when we say your success, is our success.

One of our students who took our White Sandwich Sourdough Loaf class at GrannyKat's Apiary Supply & Bee Learning Center this month sent us this picture of her first sourdough loaf ever! 😍

We are thrilled to see pictures like these! The bubbles on the crust, the color, the rise, and so expertly shaped!

Our White Sandwich Sourdough Loaf is wonderful for families, because it doesn't have a strong sourdough flavor for kids who may have a little more sensitive taste! It's great for peanut butter and jelly, turkey and cheddar, or ham and swiss sandwiches, but is also great for toast and French toast! Just a versatile loaf!

Happy Sunday, everyone! ☀️

This week, we will be running a fundraiser for Goat House Farm Inc to cover the show costs for the dairy goat program kids to go to shows this fall! 🐐

---60% OF ALL PROCEEDS from sales this week, from today, Sunday August 23rd until Saturday August 29th, will be donated directly to Goat House Farm in support of the kids!---

Goat House Farm works so hard to keep costs to participants low so that any child has access to join.

This year, SEVEN kids from the program are going to the Georgia National Fair Dairy Goat Show, and a whopping THIRTEEN kids are going to the National Peanut Festival Dairy Goat Show! 🥳

This is a huge growth in the program from previous years - and these are your future farmers! Committed to learning to care for, breed, and responsibly raise dairy goats which provide milk, cheese, soap, and other wonderful and useful products for our families and communities!

We here are Half Acre Wood are not interested in eating lab-grown food. We are committed to teaching our communities how to grow and raise/make their own food, and to bringing back traditional skills! The dairy goat program and similar programs are so important in making this happen. 💪

To qualify to go to shows, the dairy goat program kids have to attend regular meetings, bond with their goat and teach them how to lead and stand, learn goat anatomy, and learn everything that goes into caring for a dairy goat - including hoof trimming, vaccinations, milking, breeding, and parasite prevention.

We believe in this program!
