Interested in hopping on the energy of the Chinese New Year?
You do not have to be Chinese to align with this energy. Every culture has cycles of renewal, intention setting, and community focus. This is simply another beautiful way to call in growth, prosperity, clarity, and harmony. When many people focus on similar intentions at the same time, that collective alignment can feel powerful emotionally, spiritually, and psychologically.
Some people have asked about colors, especially with Fire Horse energy. Red is traditionally lucky, but since fire energy is already strong in Fire Horse years, some choose balancing colors instead like gold, earthy tones, greens, or blues. Totally optional. Go with what feels aligned for you.
Since we also have eclipse and new moon energy happening, this is an extra potent time for reflection, reset, and intention. Eclipses often bring shifts, clarity, and course corrections. New moons support planting seeds for what you want next.
Simple Do’s:
Set intentions + refresh energy 🌱
• Vision setting for the year
• Journaling hopes and goals
• Lighting candles or incense for new beginnings
• Light organizing or refreshing your space
• Wear colors that feel supportive or grounding
• Spend quiet time reflecting during the eclipse or new moon
• Stay hopeful and forward focused
🍊 Display or eat lucky foods
Common symbolic foods:
• Oranges or tangerines = wealth and good fortune
• Long noodles = longevity
• Dumplings = prosperity
• Sweet foods = harmonious relationships
🏡 Decorate your space intentionally
Things like:
• Fresh flowers or plants (new growth energy)
• Symbols of abundance or animals of the zodiac year
• Positive affirmations or meaningful art
🤝 Focus on connection + gratitude
Calling family, checking on friends, expressing appreciation.
Harmony is considered foundational luck.
Things Traditionally Avoided ❌:
•Deep cleaning or sweeping on New Year’s Day
• Washing or cutting your hair if possible
• Arguing, gossip, or heavy negative talk
• Breaking dishes or objects if possible
• All black or white outfits tied to mourning symbolism
• Impulsive decisions made from stress or fear
You do not have to follow everything perfectly. Respect, awareness, and intention matter most. This is about fresh energy, conscious direction, and stepping into the next chapter with clarity.
New cycle. Fresh energy. Intentional direction.
