Brittle, a vintage gift that has been enjoyed by our family for decades. ThE Barnes Brittle Factory is a modern brand built upon a classic sweet treat first introduced by Thomas E. Barnes, our founder's grandfather, who packaged peanut brittle & gave as gifts each celebration & holiday. Thomas’s title is also where ThE Barnes Brittle Factory gained its name & uniquely capitalized letter “E”. This
was purposely done to represent Thomas’s initials, T.E.B.. After years of enjoying this family treat our founder, Darryl W. Raven, visioned sharing our homemade brittle with the world. Raven relocated from Houston, TX to Brooklyn, NY. While living so far from his family, our founder began to long for his grandfather's homemade brittle, even to the point of searching local store shelves for brittle. He found nothing that could compare to the quality & taste of his grandfather's homemade brittle. At that moment our founder decided that the Barnes family brittle was meant to be gifted to the world. After returning home in 2016, our founder began ThE Barnes Brittle Factory. This is our founders homage to the legacy and name following the passing of his grandfather on December 12,2019. Barnes, we would like for you to enjoy one of our greatest family traditions.
