• Prendergast Library, Wednesdays, 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• Silvertree Seniors (Crane), Wednesdays, 1:30 to 2:30 PM
• The Chautauqua Center, Thursdays, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Silvertree Seniors (Methodist Gardens), Thursdays, 12:30 to 1:15 PM
• Chautauqua Opportunities, Thursdays, 2:30 to 3:30 PM
• TRC Community Health Center, Fridays, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Silvertree Seniors (Carlson), Fridays, 12:30 to 1:30 PM

NEW THIS YEAR: U-Pick Food Box at the Mobile Market!
The “U-Pick” food box program is a ten-week program heavily subsidized by a New York state grant, and is offered to customers using SNAP benefits. Participants will receive a weekly customized box of food with fresh produce and a combination of eggs, meat, bread, and more. Boxes are valued at $20 and will cost customers just $5 who present SNAP card and ID. Customers can sign up starting at the first week of the Mobile Market.

🥬 The weekend we've all been waiting for is almost here... OPENING DAY for the Jamestown Farmers Market's summer season is Saturday, June 6, and we've got an AMAZING lineup of vendors headed our way! We'll open at 9 AM and the market runs until 1 PM.

🍅 Our farms and farmers are bringing the best of the spring harvest for you to enjoy. Plus, shop from bakeries, florists, food products and prepared foods, and browse our artisan booths too.

🥦 Stop by the JFM tent for SNAP and credit card token exchange, and don't forget that the Sprouts tent is open for kids under 12 to earn $2 SproutsBucks to spend on produce.

🫜 If you're interested in getting a free lawn sign (or poster, if you don't have a lawn!) to help us promote the market, stop by the JFM tent!

☁ We'll keep an eye on the weather, but right now it looks like it will be a dry morning! The market does run rain or shine and will reschedule in the event of strong storms. Watch our social media for announcements.

We're a little over ONE WEEK OUT from 2026! There are hundreds of fantastic causes and organizations across Chautauqua County to support -- including our sister program New Neighbors Coalition -- for this 24-hour day of giving on June 11. Thanks to Chautauqua Region Community Foundation for making Give Big CHQ possible once again!

These organizations and initiatives are all working for a better, brighter future for Chautauqua County. In our particular corner, we're fundraising for our education series of webinars and workshops for both vendors and visitors, helping more people in our community connect with fresh, local food.

In addition to our supportive work through education, JFM operates the weekly farmers market (our summer season kicks off on June 6 at Third & Pine!), the weekly Mobile Market with seven stops around Jamestown and Falconer, several options of community-supported agriculture food boxes, and is a food box provider for the Food Prescription program via Medicaid's 1115 waiver program.

We appreciate your support on June 11! Bookmark our fundraising page at https://www.givebigchq.org/organizations/jfmny

Please join us in welcoming our new Program Manager, Jeff Lauck!

Born and raised in Beacon Falls, CT, Jeff comes to the Jamestown Farmers Market team after nearly a decade living in Portland, OR. During his time in Portland, Jeff worked with a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program recruiting and training volunteers to help low income and limited English proficiency families file their taxes for free and access important tax credits. Jeff is also a proud AmeriCorps alumnus, having served three terms between environmental education in Decorah, IA and economic empowerment in Portland, OR.

Moving to the Jamestown area to be closer to family, Jeff is excited to join JFM and combine his experience coordinating volunteers and service program delivery with his passion for expanding food access and justice in rural communities.

Jeff enjoys camping, hiking, and road tripping with his wife, Ashley, and dog, Decorah. He also is a self-described history nerd, with strong interests in the American Civil War and the American West.

While we're looking forward to the start of our summer outdoor season this Saturday, we're also reflecting with gratitude on our second winter market season at JFM. We want to thank all of our vendors (some of whom are pictured here!), who committed enthusiastically to the winter market, and to all of our visitors, who ventured out every second and fourth Saturday to support those vendors and celebrate our local food community!

As we do at the end of every market season, we'll spend some time reflecting on what went well and where we can improve, collecting feedback and reports from our vendors, and laying the foundation for an even better winter season in 2027. But we'll also celebrate some wins, including seeing some early results from our farmer investment via the 2025 Greenhouse Grant program!

Here are some quick stats from the 2026 JFM Winter Market season:
🥕 Total markets: 10
🥬 Total vendors: 31
🥗 Total dollars in exchanged SNAP and NYS FreshConnect: $12,000
🥞Total free pancakes served (estimate): 3,000

Part of our new website redesign is our blog, where we can take a deeper dive into parts of our programming and why we do the work that we do. Here’s a blog post hot off the presses, featuring our 2026 market poster artist Wendy Bale Art1st! We caught up with Wendy for a Q&A about her artistic process and the creation of this poster.
