Watch your hands, folks! I have six broody hens on the farm right now and if I don’t keep on it things will seriously get out of control.

The geese and ducks loved the water on a warm day. The two black ducks are new to the farm in the last couple of weeks, but they seem very interested in the goslings and stay pretty close.

Emma and I fell for the baby geese at TSC last week. 😍
Their bodies have already doubled in size and along with their poops. Wow. But they are sooo cute! I’ve been handling the heck out of them so they love me and don’t chase me when they are full grown.

Swishing tails means happy pigs ❤️

Every time I am in the pasture or the barn working on projects I get lots of helpers.

Oh Michigan. How you jerk us around. I watched the lovely progression of warmth this week from the barn cam only to have it yanked harshly away. Yes, I know it’s only February and spring is still unrealistic. The animals did enjoy a brief warm up to get out and around and take naps in the sun and I was glad for that.

The ducks are active with a thaw after being literally cooped up for a month. I can always count on finding Boyfriend and Boyfriend’s Brother sitting in the hay.

These are the faces and tails of three dogs hoping for a bite of grandmas lasagna!!
