It’s been a rough year overall for me to enjoy food, long one of the joys of my life. My body just hasn’t been able to handle much without rebelling. But I still find joy and therapy in cooking, and I love being able to go from plant to pie all at our home with recipes like our tomato pie. 🍅 🥧 I always think of Nikie Mayo when I make this recipe in the summer with garden tomatoes because the idea came from a South Carolina restaurant, Grits & Groceries, that she shared with me and Molly.

Hey, all. 👋 Matthew here. We’ve been quiet in recent weeks. I’ve been having digestive health issues and can’t enjoy food the way I always have. We haven’t abandoned , but we’re on a hiatus of sorts until we can cook and travel again. 💚

We highly recommend Chesapeake House for your fresh seafood destination when you Visit Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Great food at reasonable prices without all the touristy gimmicks of many of the restaurants in the area!

🥳 Carving up a little ham on this final day of 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣3️⃣! We got a small 4-pounder at Sam's Club for $7, perfect for two people. Matthew likes thin slices, and Molly likes the thick-cut pieces. 😊
