For years people stated they couldn't afford to shop at small family farms, markets, local butchers organic, etc. Now you are paying those prices in grocery stores from Tyson, Monsanto, Cargill, JBS and other mega agricultural entities. Why ? Because when those big boys started loosing market share to people starting to favor local farms they got upset. Throw in a pandemic, a few politicians, the ex president of Monsanto ( who is now the head of the USDA). Call it a labor shortage and boom. They are selling their same old products grown, raised and processed in dubious locations at a higher price while attempting to shut the "open" sign on family farms.
