Raising your own chickens doesn’t mean the eggs are free…
but they sure are fresher, healthier, and tastier than anything you’ll find in a store. 🤍🥚

There’s just something special about gathering eggs from your own coop.

A couple weeks ago, our beloved Ms. Waffles crossed the rainbow bridge. She passed in her sleep.

Today we welcome 3 new girls to our bunch. Margaret has been very vocal about the new girls and Jamima, well she has tried to show her dominance 😂

Black Easter Egger - Her Name is Esther.

Turken (Bare Neck) - Her Name is Repecka - She is Tyler’s favorite

Golden Laced Cochin - Name to be determined.

Margaret had a case of bumblefoot. She took the procedure like a champ and is on the road to recovery.

We will continue to soak and re-bandage her feet every few days to make sure it is healing properly.

She is now resting for the evening ☺️

Meet Margaret and Aunt Jemima. They are our two Silver Laced Wyandotte girls.

Welcome!

We have decided to start a FB page to offer our Farm Fresh Eggs to our friends and family when we have a surplus!

Fresh from our free range hens! They spend all day outside in a large open area!

Our girls have access to a wider variety of food sources like bugs, grass, fruit/vegetables and sometimes even red meat. We also feed them back their eggs shells. They are a valuable source of calcium for hens, helping them produce strong eggshells.

The nutritional quality of free range eggs can vary based on the hens' diet, seasonal changes, and the environment, but overall they offer a more nutrient-dense profile compared to conventionally raised eggs.

Look for the deep yellow yolks! Great source of protein!

Availability may vary, however, we plan to grow our flock soon!

Formal introductions of the ladies to come soon ☺️
