These guys look a little scary but if you see them, let them be. They are Goldenrod Soldier Beetles who feed on aphids and leave humans alone. I had loads of aphids destroying zinnias last year. This year I have tons of Soldier Beetles and hardly any aphids. Definitely a good trade!
