I don’t think people always realize how important supporting local businesses really is. Most of us have to work for a living. There’s really no way around it. 😂 And for the people who don’t have to, you’re very lucky! But for those of us humans who DO have to work, we decided that if we’re going to spend this much of our lives working, we want to do something we’re actually passionate about. Something we love. Something that means something to us.
Whether it’s helping someone feel better, creating something with our own hands, growing food, making a product we truly believe in, teaching something we’ve learned, or simply bringing something into our store that we absolutely LOVE and hope you will love just as much, there’s a person and a story behind it.
That’s one of the biggest reasons we’re so passionate about supporting local businesses. When you spend your money at a small business, you’re supporting an actual person. You’re helping someone pay their bills, support their family, keep doing something they love and hopefully keep a dream alive. You’re not just another transaction going into some giant corporation.
And believe me, we understand that sometimes Amazon is easier. Sometimes the big box store is cheaper. We use them too. 😂 But when you CAN shop local, please do. Go to the little coffee shop. Buy from the local farmer. Visit the little boutique. Support the person making things out of their kitchen or garage. Walk into that little store you’ve driven past 100 times and see what’s inside.
Small businesses are what give our communities personality. They’re people’s passions, dreams and livelihoods all wrapped into one.So when you support local, just know that somebody on the other side of that purchase is probably doing a little happy dance because you chose them. ❤️💃🏼🕺🏽👯♀️
And from two women who decided we’d rather work our asses off doing something we love and believe in…thank you for choosing us. 🌿❤️ Saige McDow
