There is so much info in this post it is tough to verify it all but God Help Us! Please consider buying your meat at local farmers markets. And with all the serious recalls on berries and salads and even nut butters you should be shopping local for those too! Come meet my favorite cow-man Frank of Grazelen Farms at the Verona Farmer's Market this Thurs 3-6 at 502 W. Lee Hwy across from Goodwill.

Excuse me...why does a computer geek tech billionaire think he knows ANYthing about farming or seeds? And why is he buying up farmland? And why did he get to authorize a recent experiment involving mosquitoes in Florida? Why did he advertise on MSNBC news during covid that pregnant women could buy a device to give themselves their very own baby ultrasound from their home computers? The guy is a computer nerd with money....not an OB/GYN...btw no doctor was willing to stand beside him to advertise his ultrasound device. This man was pictured with Epstein and with young russian "dates"...he wrote emails to Jeffrey Epstein about sneaking antibiotics into his wife's food or drink because he realized he gave her an STD. Why does this unqualified nutjob get airtime on ANY news channel?? Feel free to double check but all these facts are true.

Im gonna agree with alot of experts who are saying this demented idea that it will be good for ALL US farmers when they have to lower their beef prices to compete with the flood of Argentinian beef is gaslighting. It is actually a strategy to bankrupt US Farms so the Tech bros can plunk down huge data centers. It is also a plan to cripple us from being able to get food from a local source. once our govt controls food, water and electric....well dearies....we are then ENSLAVED. So please source from local farms right now and dont let them go bankrupt. Know where your food sources are. Buy local...do not buy per the price because cheap Argentinian beef will be very expensive 2 yrs from now. Come and meet one of my favorite beef farmers (Frank of Grazelen Farms) at Verona Market today! 502 W. Lee Hwy 3-6 pm

America First....unless Argentina needs help. We have people in Maui and Asheville NC who lost their homes YEARS ago!! We have people in Indiana right now with no electric or water!! The su***de rate of US farmers is through the roof! Trump is bankrupting our farmers so that his tech billionaire buddies can get the land and water resources. Farmers and farm supporters....you will unfortunately Need to vote Democrats into office or kiss farmland and guarantees of fresh food and water goodbye. If you vote Republican you will be living next to the all-night noise of a data center with an electric bill you cant afford and water you can't drink cuz a robot took your job. Wake Up...or move to Argentina

So I am an herbalist , and I have studied plants, nutrition and alternative & allopathic medicine topics for over thirty years. i have grown or purchased dried plant material from many different sources for over twenty eight years. saturday at a farmer's market , I saw a tea and spice vendor. they were letting people choose different dried plants or spices to create their own blend of something to cook with or drink. i watched a young teenager struggling over the different flowers in jars.... Most which I could see were prepared with color fixatives, etc. (i.e. potpourri-grade flowers...not tea-grade). one of the jars contained a purple flower called statice which is odorless and flavorless? Therefore , no point in using it for tea or cooking. but then I saw that the jar was labeled "Forget me nots".... Which sounds like an enchanting thing that you would want to put in a love potion tea? however , forget me nots are poisonous.... they cause liver damage. They are also blue and not purple and difficult to dry....so I immediately told the teenager that the flower she was choosing was not "forget me not" ..... And then I told the purveyor that they shouldn't be teaching people that they can drink something called "forget me not"? after showing the purveyor many articles and photos to back up my point, I convinced her to take the label off the jar. but how many weeks in a row had she been teaching people that they can go forage for forget me nots and drink them? this family is from Turkey and they have been buying potpourri type herbs from street vendors in turkey and I guess filling up their suitcases? they are opening a store in mosaic. I Told them that I fear for people's health and safety since none of them have studied anything botanical beyond google. it is shocking to me that the FDA came to my little Tea Shop 20 yrs ago and tried to shut me down because they took a sample from a jar of peppermint leaf.... And came back and told me that it had an aphid in the sample. duh...organic tea is ALLOWED to contain a certain percent of other organic/non harmful material but I had to get the Herb Guild's lawyer to tell that to the FDA. wake me up in whether it's safe..... And there is no FDA or Health Dept inspecting Mosaic District stores ??

I'm seeing a trend that i'm not fond of at Farm Markets....it's not just the food trucks...often it's a tent vendor that is selling smoothies or matcha or Boba or coffee milkshakes in a big plastic cup with a dome and a plastic straw. This was NEVER seen at Farm Markets even 10 years ago. And not only is this harmful xenoestrogens going into our landfills and our water and into our mouths!! (which causes hormone imbalances that can result in an inability to impregnate a person or obsesity, etc) but what these drinks mean is that the person's hand is full and if they are a mom or they have a dog......the other hand is full....so they are NOT coming into booths and picking up produce or honey etc. Instead they are walking around in a pre-diabetic coma just looking at stuff while they suck on a straw??? And these drinks cost $9? The typical person only spends $25-$30 at a market so that's 1/3 to 1/2 of their budget gone? And these drinks are NOT made by farmers!!! These are local restaurants and small businesses. So when you come to a market and suck on a milkshake....you are HURTING our environment and not getting anything very healthy to put in your body AND NOT SUPPORTING FARMS!! Think about it! And I truly wish our Market Managers would remember that farmer's markets exist for growers and farmers and food makers. There should not be 5 milkshake/smoothie/boba/matcha type vendors in addition to food trucks selling drinks? please realize you may be happy with the booth fees now but you won't get any booth fees from serious farmers/growers next year

I rep a beekeeper's honey at 2 of my farm markets because I use his honey to sample my teas and in the teas that I sell cold ready to drink. He said this year he was not able to take on any new customers after April because of blueberries being killed by the frost and other things not blooming for the bees. Climate change is even affecting the parmesan cheese in Italy people!! They will have less to sell due to the effects of heat on cheese-making! Europe is experiencing worse heat than we have but today I was NOT enjoying the smoke from Canada here in the Massanutten Mountains....and yet....we ARE ALL ONE....what happens to my neighbor happens to me. When everyone realizes that we are all interconnected....from the bees not having fruit crop blooms due to late frost.....to the fires in the woods of Canada harming outdoor workers....to the downpours that cause some crops to rot or get moldy....life is hard enough..... without gas prices being what they are.....right? Be KIND to someone you see working hard this summer at your local farm markets.
