Fun Farm Fact: What does the color of an yolk tell you about the hen that laid it? There are several different factors, but most of it comes down to diet! Researchers have found hens who are fed a grain-heavy diet tend to have pale yellow yolks, while hens with access to fresh grass and pasture tend to produce eggs with more vibrant yolk colors.

Fun Farm Fact: It's time to get your in the ground! Plant individual cloves (peels intact), pointy end up, about 2 inches deep and 6 inches apart. Cover your soil with 5-8 inches of seedless straw. It will pack down over the winter and reduce weeds next growing season.
