We are so saddened to announce that tomorrow’s Park Street Farmers Market has been canceled. 💔
This was an incredibly difficult decision for us to make, and honestly one we’ve been trying very hard to avoid. Over the past two days, we received a large amount of last-minute vendor cancellations, bringing us from nearly 40 vendors down to around 20. Unfortunately, with facility costs and event expenses, we simply would not be able to sustain the event at that size. We have tried to get last minute vendors, but most of them aren’t available such short notice.
To add- the weather has been very unpredictable with potential thunderstorms also adding to our decision. But, beyond the financial side, we never want to provide a market experience that feels incomplete or disappointing to our community. We care deeply about creating a fun, full, and worthwhile event for both our shoppers and our vendors, and this situation has been very discouraging for us as organizers.
We especially want to apologize to everyone who planned to attend, support small businesses, or spend part of their Sunday & Mother’s Day with us. And to the vendors who were fully prepared and ready to go, especially our food vendors who put so much time, prep, and expense into fresh products…we are truly sorry.
Despite this setback, we are still incredibly grateful for this community and all of the support this season as our first season hosting the Park Street Farmers Market. We would absolutely love to finish strong together at our FINAL spring market next Sunday, and we hope to see you all there. 🌿
