A person never knows what the day has in store for you.
I thought I saw wild plums in a ditch so a friend and I went to explore. Turned out to be crab apple so we foraged some. Then my friend saw wild grapes so we foraged some. Then a wonderful gentleman who lived across from where we were picking offered us to pick his grapevines! Oh my goodness what a blessing! I have never had a more flavorful grape like this in my life! Both red and white grapes were out of this world! Thank you for your generosity Patrick!
Pictures are going to be fermented grapes in honey and the crab apples...chutney!

Good morning! The weather might be dreary but we are giving away sunshine and smiles at the Manitowoc Farmers Market today. We have a limited amount of no spray peaches grown in Sheboygan County.

We still have peaches available that were grown in Sheboygan County. These peaches are sweet, juicy and delicious! They are cling free. $3/lb. Pick up between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. today, Wednesday Sept 2nd. at W371 Danes Road, New Holstein. Otherwise 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. Thursday Sept 3rd at Plymouth Farmers' Market at Stayer Park. Follow us for peach availability for this weekend. The season is coming to a close so get them while we have them.

Peach Pancake
Preheat oven to 400*.
Melt approximately 2 T butter, lard or oil of your choice on medium heat. Slice approximately 6 peaches and add to pan with butter and stir occasionally.
Separate 8 eggs. Place whites in mixing bowl and heat on high until stiff peaks form.
To yolks, add 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon.
Fold yolk mixture into stiff egg whites.
Add on top of the cooking peaches and let sit/cook for a few moments. Place in preheated oven for 16 minutes.
*Be careful with hot handles* I was warned and believe it or not, I still touched.
Flip onto large cutting board, cut and enjoy!

Peaches! Peaches! Peaches! We have in our possession peaches that are from Sheboygan County that were just picked today! Can't get any fresher than that! If you have gotten these peaches from us in the past, they are from the same farmer. They are just as juicy and the flavor....is unbelievable!
These are available for pick up at our farm:
August 29th (today) until 7:00 p.m.
Sunday, August 30th 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Or until all 356 lbs are gone.

Whew! 2026 Einkorn Wheat is off the field. Next step is to get on the schedule to get it dehulled. I am looking forward to using it in the bakery. :)
