Save this High Protein, Gluten-Free breakfast wrap + make it with me! This is especially great for my low cook Comadres. Who want something simple nutritious + delicious.

Head over to Happy Healthy Latina Instagram to read four of the most common mistakes we make when balancing our hormones + being prayed upon by diet culture.

Breakfast Wrap:
1. 2 teaspoons avocado oil OR 1/2 tbsp grass fed butter to a sauté pan over medium flame, add 1/4 cup each small diced red onion, sliced sh*take mushroom, mini heirloom tomato. Sauté for 3-4 minutes

2. Add 2 beaten eggs seasoned with 1 teaspoon each black pepper, sea salt + turmeric. Scramble over low-medium flame for approx 3 min or just under the desired doneness you like your eggs. Then add 1 cup of shredded spinach. Turn off heat and cover, the spinach will wilt in the eggs.

3. Sautee 1 Applegate Chicken Apple Sausage link cut in 1-2” rounds

4. Grab one gluten free wrap I used Maria and Ricardo's Quinoa Flour wrap (soy, egg, wheat + dairy free). Warm it in a pan 3-5 seconds.

5. Layer in cheese of your choice, I used New Zealand organic white cheddar (1 slice), your veggie + egg scramble + sausage. Wrap your burrito.

6. In same pan you made your eggs. Low-medium flame add 1 teaspoon avocado oil. Heat your wrap on each side approx 1 until it has a nice char.

7. Garnish with 1 tbsp chopped cilantro, 1 tbsp Labne for probiotic addition + drizzle your favorite hot sauce. Serve!

Spring is about to have us sprung east coasters.Yesterday during a park walk I was reminded that many things are in bloom, soon we will have vibrancy all around us. Signs of life where everywhere! It also to remind us we all bloom at different paces.

I wanted to drop a reminder that with beautiful produce, veggies + fruits about 2 flood our markets. We don’t need to have boring or sad salads. Here are some tips to brighten your plate taste, color + nutrient wise!

1) Layers! We may be shedding clothing as the weather warms up but make layers on your salads. Chose a green base of your desire- here I have Arugula. Other faves baby kale, lacinato/Dinosaur kale massaged, endive, watercress or spring mix. Mix 1-2 of your faves!

2) Texture! Use crunchy vegetables + break them out of their original shapes. Here I put rainbow radishes through my Mandoline for thin crispy taste w/ bite, this is a great tool to break down veggies. Try celery, cut it on the bias (angle) into little C shapes. Use Nuts + Seeds! H**p, Chia, Flaxseed, pumpkin seeds, Cashews, Walnuts, Crushed Or Slivered Almonds, toasted hazelnuts all provide nutrient dense + flavorful alternatives to regular croutons

3) Use Fruit + Herbs!! - I can’t say this enough. Using herbs in a salad will brighten your plate + tastebuds by 1000. Here Chiffonade Basil + Mint! To Chiffonade- stacking leaves on top of each other , rolling them tightly, then slicing the leaves perpendicular to the roll. Check my stories! Fruits aren’t only for a bowl or smoothies. Drop some bluebs ( 🫐) , thinly sliced strawberries, mangos 🥭, or apples into your salad and watch it come alive with flavor + color.

4) Make your own dressing! - It makes me sad/mad how many dressings are laden with soybean oil, canola and or vegetable oil. These oils are heavily processed, rich in inflammation-promoting Omega-6 fatty acids, and often times contain trans fats that aren't disclosed on the label due to how processed they are. Often detracting from the health benefits of our salads.

Last month I was honored to be approached by Complex + MetrobyTmobile for a feature on my life + souls work. Most importantly we talk a lot by ancestors, importance of community and where I come from. Something I will never ever forget.

It’s not about where we arrive but who we become in the process. Hope my great-grandma, grandmother are smiling in heaven as they guide me. I hope that everyday my Mami knows that the lessons she taught me, are what keep me strong + focused. I’m really proud of this one!

You are a BADASS, yes you! You are a Mujeron, Chingona, Comadre that deserves to take up space! How much & how many do you constantly give and show up for? How do you show up for yourself daily?

You can be the creator or generational health wealth in your family line.
Are you taking up the space for yourself you deserve to claim & hold. As the bad ass you are we don’t have time or room for Debilitating PMS/periods month in and out, constant sickness or fatigue/gut issues because we aren’t freeing up our digestive energy. One of the processes that takes up the most energy in YOUR body.

We have got to nourish the good bacteria in our body, suppress the bad & promote an optimal environment for great digestive health.Did you know bacteria outnumbers the human cells in your body by about 10-1!

Here’s a hormone & gut friendly breakfast or snack you can put together in less than 5 minutes! Make several and store It for the week ahead. This taste like a blueberry, cheesecake, lemony dream.

The quality of the ingredients is highly important. Not all yogurts were made equal! I’ve spend a lot of time researching so you don’t have to. This bowl has prebiotic & probiotic. Fiber. High quality fat, seed cycling, vitamin c & antioxidants.

Happy Healthy Balancing Bowl:
1 cup organic grass fed yogurt unsweetened. Here we use
1 teaspoon raw organic honey
1 teaspoon organic pure vanilla bean or vanilla extra. I snag mine
2 tbsp organic Chia seed
2 tbsp ground pumpkin & flax seed blend ( if you in day 1-14 of your cycle use Sesame & Sunflower seed instead)
1/2 cup blueberries 🫐
Zest of 1 organic lemon.

Mix it up and enjoy or refrigerate. I have had 2 pain free cycles after 5-6 years of and I am truly living for this.
……………………………………………………………………………

¡Eres un BADASS, sí tú! Eres una Mujeron, Chingona, Comadre que merece ocupar espacio! ¿Cuánto y cuánto das y te presentas constantemente? ¿Cómo te presentas a diario?
