MURRAY’S RARE FIND 📣: Vorderfultigen Gruyère AOP Spezial
 
An irresistible symphony of Alpine pastures, Swiss tradition, and pure, intoxicating flavor—Vorderfultigen Gruyère AOP Spezial is only at Murray’s for a limited time. A small-batch Gruyère that’s typically hard to find in the United States, it blends notes of beef broth and toasted chestnut with a vanilla sweetness.
 
A longer-aged version of this Gruyère won World Champion Cheese at the 2025 World Cheese Awards, placing first among 5,200 entries from 46 countries. When we tasted this shining example of authentic Gruyère, we knew our community of cheese lovers had to taste it.

Summer Alp Fest is HERE! 🏔️🧀 
 
This year, we’re celebrating National Cheese Day with all things Swiss in NYC on June 4th! We’re kicking off the cheesiest holiday there is with the launch of Murray’s Rare Finds: Vorderfultigen Gruyère AOP Spezial! Get the first taste of this small batch Gruyère rarely available in the U.S. 
 
We’ll have samples of the Gruyère, demos from , , and _ bar, and samples of Gruyère topped ice cream! At 4pm, we’ll have a Gruyère Wheel Crack Contest, and throughout the day, you can enjoy live performances of the traditional Swiss Alp Horn!

From the beautiful rind tinged with blue and grey to the bright, silky interior, it’s easy to see why Mountain Top from is an American favorite.  
 
This pyramid-shaped goat’s milk cheese may share its shape and a bit of coloring with French Valençay, but the rind is developed using traditional blue mold instead of ash. But don’t expect a punch of blue piquancy. This is a delicate, slightly tangy cheese, perfect with a glass of sauvignon blanc.
